"baby, are you ready?", my boyfriend called out for me from downstairs.
we were going to have dinner with my family at their place. not to mention, this was going to be the first time that they meet mattia, so it was a pretty big deal. i wore a simple red dress that hugged my curves perfectly while mattia wore a white dress shirt and pants.
"yeah, i'll be down soon."
i gathered my makeup supplies and handbag then ran out the bathroom.
"ready?", mattia looked up from his phone over at me, proceeding to scan me from head to toe.
"what?", i raised an eyebrow at him while zipping up my bag.
"you know y/n, wearing that around me is a little...dangerou-"
"for god sakes mattia, we're gonna be around my family. not the right time."
not giving him a chance to reply, my hand clung onto his and we both exited out the front door.
~time skip~
after a long drive from the house to my parents, we had finally arrived.
"you look so nervous, chill out", mattia called to me from the other side of his car.
truth is, i was nervous. i was really hoping my parents would get along with my boyfriend.
"just, promise me you'll have fun?", i looked up at him with doe eyes.
"mm, i can't guarantee that."
"why not?"
he smiled and fixed up his coat before ringing the doorbell, "because you asked me to be on my best behavior."
my mother appeared at the doorway soon after, greeting us with a cheesy smile and hugs. as i entered, my heart skipped a beat at the sight of my father in the kitchen already situated in the at the dining table.
oh boy.
"heyyy, there he is!", he shouted while coming up from his seat to hug mattia, "you know, you're a lot taller than i expected."
the two began conversating while my mom and i began to serve the food.
"why is dad being so chill? i expected him to be more uptight."
she laughed, "yeah, well your dad has heard only good things about that young man. you should be thankful knives aren't flying across the room right now."
~time skip~
the food was almost gone and the chatting was nonstop. i was about to say something when i felt a cold sensation on my thigh.
no.
"mattia", i whispered in his ear while leaning onto his shoulder, "stop."
"be quiet."
my parents were too busy flirting on the other side of the table to realize what was going on.
mattia's hand reached higher and higher up my thigh causing my breathing to become hitched. i knew he wasn't gonna stop, so there was no point in pushing him off. i was trying so hard to control myself.
"babygirl", his voice sent shivers down my spine, "remember what i told you."
right when mattia made it to my core, my father abruptly got up.
"alright, should we start tidying up now?"
the way my stomach dropped to the floor.
i took this as an opportunity to escape from the situation i was in, "yes let's clean up."
i stacked all the tableware together and placed them in the sink. from the side of my eye, i could see that mattia was bothered by my sudden move.
"honey, i'll take care of this. you guys should probably get going, it's already 11 and you know it's not safe to be driving late at night", my mom suggested.
"are you sure? just let us help you with the dishes."
"it's okay, you're dad will help me."
my boyfriend and i said our goodbyes and walked out together. he hadn't said a word to me since the events that took place back there.
"don't think you're safe now, y/n."
oh god.
