Taismo and Sonamy: Tails' daughter

Chapter 9

Tails was really happy to see Cosmo once again and Cosmo was there, waiting for him to get to her, they gave eachother a hug.

Tails: "Cosmo, I'm so happy to see you again, you cannot beli... mphhhhh"

Cosmo placed a hand in front of his mouth and broke the hug saying: "Tails, I'm happy to see you too, but this is a dream and my time here is not long, I'm sorry." after saying this Cosmo started to fly away from Tails.

Tails started running again to reach her, this time he wasn't getting near, instead she was still going further away from him

Tails screamed with his eyes full of tears: "Cosmo, NOOOOO, you can't leave me now, I just met you once again, I waited for so much time, DON'T LEAVE ME!!!"

Cosmo: "I'm so sorry Tails, listen, I'd like you to get again with your friends, they didn't deserve to be treated like you did"

Tails: "If you come back with me, I'll do it, I'll do my best, I'LL DO ALL YOU WANT, BUT PLEASE, COME BACK WITH ME COSMO"

Cosmo: "Tails, I have to ask you 1 more thing" she started to disappear in the white and said: "Be a good father, she is your daughter." and after this last word she disappeared really far away from Tails

Tails dropped himself on the ground crying, he waited so much to see Cosmo again, and she disappeared after only a few moments, he screamed with all his voice: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, COSMOOOOOOOO"

Tails immediately sat up when he woke up from that dream still screaming: "OOOOOO".

After this Tails lied down again and said to himself: "That was only a dream" and started to cry again: "Why do life has to be so cruel with me?".

After a while he heard a noise, he got curious and got up, he watched the clock, it was 8:00 AM, the night passed really fast.

He looked from the source of that noise and immediately saw that there was something strange in his plant, he checked it and saw that the plant disappeared, instead he found a little baby seedrian, he understood that his dream wasn't only a dream, Cosmo really spoke with him.

Tails wasn't happy at all, he was upset, he wanted back Cosmo, not a baby to take care, he refused to take care of that baby, so he placed her outside of his door and got back inside.

Tails had breakfast, then he thought what he could do, and with nothing to do he decided to work on the machine he tried to do yesterday.

Sonic woke up and didn't know what to do, he was still depressed from what happened the day before, he wanted to go meet Tails, but he was still upset for what happened, so he decided to go meet Amy instead, he got his breakfast and ran to her, he knocked the door.

Amy: "Hi Sonic, I wasn't expecting you, please come in."

Sonic got inside and said: "Hi Amy, how are you?"

Amy lead him to her couch and said: "I'm fine, thanks, what about you?"

Sonic watched the ground and thought about what happened yesterday: "I..."

Amy: "What happened? I can see that you're not ok Sonic."

Sonic: "Yesterday, after you left, I went inside the house, I wanted to help Tails do some sh... a project that I want so much to do, but..." he started having tears in his eyes while he was saying this: "He could focus only on his plant, and didn't pay attention to what he was doing, I did exactly what he told me to do, but we assembled everything wrong and... and... we had a discussion and we yelled to eachother... and..." He exploded in tears and Amy hugged him trying to give him some comfort.

After a while Sonic managed to calm down and Amy said: "I think I understand you, I know it's hard, it's hard for me too, but do you still want Tails to be your friend? I think that we should go meet him and try to calm everything, I'll come with you, so we can try to get in the right road ok?"

Sonic took a moment to calm himself more and, cleaning his eyes from the tears said: "Ok Amy, let's try." so they got up and slowly made their way to Tails house.

When they got there they found the little baby that Tails left in front of his house lying on the ground, Amy took her up and asked: "What is this? Why is this baby here?"

They had no idea, so Amy knocked to Tails' door, he opened and gave a welcome to Amy, but he was reluctant to do the same to Sonic, but he allowed him to get in.

Amy: "Tails, do you have any idea about who is this baby?"

Tails knew that if he said the truth they would get really angry with him, so he decided to say: "What? Where did you find that baby?"

Amy: "He, or she, was out of your door, really you have no idea?"

Tails lied: "This is the first time I see *HER*."

Amy and Sonic thought immediately that something was wrong, since he knew that the baby was a girl and not a boy, but they accepted to play the part, Amy said: "Well, if you don't know, we should give her a house, can you take care of her?".

Tails: "Sorry, I don't want to take care of a baby, I have some projects to do" then he looked to Sonic and said: "If you want I can work on the project you asked me while you take care of her".

Amy and Sonic weren't happy at all, they understood that something was really wrong, Tails was acting totally different from the same he do, or how he's supposed to act.

Sonic was going to yell again to him when Amy said before him: "Well, I think we can try to give her a house, maybe she'll like it, come on Sonic, let's try it." then she took Sonic and moved him out of Tails' house before anything goes wrong.

Tails happily said goodbyes to them and went back to what he was doing.

Sonic was really upset and said to Amy, trying to keep calm: "Amy, do you understand that he's not telling us everything?"

Amy: "Sonic, that's really easy to see it, but maybe he need a day to calm down... and maybe it could be fun taking care of this baby."

Sonic thought that maybe Amy was right, so he accepted to play his part, but still upset said: "Ok, BUT IF TAILS WON'T TELL US EVERYTHING, DON'T EXPECT ME TO BE FRIENDLY!"

Tails worked all the day on a machine he needed for Sonic's Project (he needed to make more than just a machine for the tests) when he ended the work he watched the clock, it was 8:00 PM, he was really tired, so he took a shower, he ate a dinner and watched the clock again, it was 8:20 PM, he decided to take a long sleep this time and go to bed, even if it was really early.

Tails got under his curtain tried to sleep, after a bit he got up like in panic, but he had no idea of the reason, he watched the clock and passed only 5 minutes, so he tried again to sleep

The same happened, he got awake in panic, but this time he had a feeling, his cheek was hurting, he thought that it was really strange

He tried two more times to sleep, and the same happened, and the pain wasn't ending, instead it was increasing.

"WHY CAN'T I SLEEP? AND WHY DO MY CHEEK HURTS SO MUCH?" Tails said really desperated, he only wanted to sleep.
Suddenly he heard some knocks on the door, he got up and asked himself: "who could be at that hour".

He opened the door and saw, they were both Sonic and Amy devastated with the baby, who was crying.

They looked really horrible, Sonic got in and said: "Sorry Tails, we need a drink", he made his way to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of orange juice, he took 2 glasses and filled them, he gave a drink to Amy and he finished his in a gulp.

After that they got better and Sonic said: "Tails, you have no idea what a terrible day was today, we tried everything and we took her everywhere, but since we left your house she started crying and never stopped, we were passing here and she got a bit calm, she was acting like she wanted to come here."

Sonic tried to keep calm and said: "Tails, we both saw that you're hiding us something, what are you hiding?"

Tails got the defensive and said: "I'm not hiding anything, what should I hide?"

Sonic got really upset trying to get any info from Tails, but nothing came out, so he decided to force a way and went to check Tails plant, with a big surprise there was nothing, so he said: "And you want me to think that you allowed your plant to die, or maybe you hided it?"

Sonic got really angry and yelled: "WHAT ARE YOU HIDING TO US?" and the baby started crying even more.

Tails understood that there was no way out, so he had to say the truth, he told them that probably the baby was his daughter from Cosmo's seed, but he didn't want to take care of her, he wanted back Cosmo, that's because he cared only about his plant, since it didn't work he was going to accept it, but he won't take care of that baby.

Sonic got really angry, and trying to keep calm because he didn't want to make things worse for the baby said: "Tails, you're her father, she don't deserve to be abandoned, she did nothing to you."

After this Sonic couldn't keep back his rage and, in a calm fury, said: "BUT YOU WON'T LISTEN, YOU CARE ONLY ABOUT A DEAD PLANT, you should be angry only with Dark Oak, BUT YOU KEEP RUINING EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE AROUND YOU."

After saying this he took the baby from Amy's arms, placed her on Tails' table and headed to the exit, but before closing that door yelled one last thing: "TAILS... no, MILES PROWER, YOU ACTUALLY BECAME A MONSTER" then closed the door, so strong that all the house shaked.

After that he took Amy for her hand and headed for their houses.

Once they got a bit far away, they saw Tails' door open, Tails got outside and yelled, but not in angry tone: "You know you can call me Tails, remember?"

Sonic even more upset than before screamed: "TAILS WAS MY FRIEND, NOT LIKE YOU MILES", then they saw that Tails left the baby out of his door and closed it leaving the baby there.

Amy wanted to run and take care of her, but Sonic stopped, he was still angry, but managed to calm down and said: "Amy, we can't take care of her, we tried everything but it didn't work, only Miles can do it, leave her".

Sonic forced her to accept it, and after a while she did accept it, they were both going to explode in tears, and they wanted to pass some time together to try calm down, but Sonic said: "Amy, it was a long day, we need to sleep." so both of them got in their house and got to their bed.

Tails got inside his house and went back to bed, trying to sleep again, he easily got sleepy and found himself in a dream again, this time Cosmo was exactly in front of him.

Tails smiled, he met her once again like he always wished, but she was really angry, she slapped Tails really strong and yelled: "Tails, I cannot believe it, you're abandoning her!".

Tails got surprised, but he said: "I wanted you, not her, that's the reason, come on Cosmo." then Tails tried to hug her

Cosmo slapped Tails again and said: "Tails, she is YOUR daughter, MY daughter, OUR daughter, and you have no heart for her."

After this Cosmo started to disappear again, this time without flying away from him.

Tails tried once again to hug her: "NO COSMO, don't leave me now."

Cosmo got really angry and screamed: "Tails, you are a monster! Get away from me, I HATE YOU TAILS" and slapped Tails really strong that woke him up

He still had the pain from that slap and understood what probably happened to him before, he lied down and took him a while to relax, he said to himself: "Man, what a bad nightmare... no... it wasn't a nightmare"

He got up saw the clock, time didn't passed fast like the last time, only 5 minutes, Tails rushed outside, he heard it was raining, that made himself go even faster.

Tails reached the entrance door and found the baby where he left her, he took the baby who was crying really loudly, when he took her, he noticed that she was quivering from cold too.

He got inside, lighted a fire on his fireplace and placed the baby on an armchair near it, then he thought he needed to do more, so he got in the kitchen and tried to find something, because she probably was hungry too.

He knew he didn't have anything good for her, but he hoped to find something.
When he opened the fridge he found 2 little cans of babyfood and a feeding bottle, he said to himself scared: "WHY DO I HAVE THESE THINGS IN MY FRIDGE?"

He wanted to think about it, but he had no time, he filled the bottle with milk, placed that inside the microwave, then took a can and a spoon.

After that he rushed to the baby and got her in his arms, he tried his best to feed her, but she refused, Tails took a deep breath and calmed himself, then he tried once again, after a while he did feed her.

Meanwhile she stopped quivering, Tails pushed away the armchair, so it wasn't anymore too near the fireplace, Tails kept the baby with him and he got in kitchen.

Tails took the bottle from the microwave, he tried to make her drink, but she wasn't accepting it.
She was crying, he decided to go easier with her, he sat on his armchair near the fireplace and gave her the bottle calmly.

She accepted it and stopped crying, Tails could finally relax himself, but when she ended the milk she started crying once again.

Tails tried to give her more milk, but she wasn't going to drink it, he tried to guess what was making her cry, but nothing came out of his mind.

He tried to drink some milk, there was nothing wrong with it, but he understood what was wrong with her.
Tails placed her on his shoulder and hit her on her back, after a while she made a burp and got calm, she wanted to play with Tails, he smiled and accepted, after a while she made a yawn and slept on Tails' arm.

Tails thought to himself: "She's really cute when she sleep, and she looks like Cosmo... maybe I was wrong on all this, I must be her father... she needs me." So he decided to try to sleep there in his armchair with her in his arms.
