"Come on Jace!" I said as I ran on top the sandy beach. I kick off my flip flops and charge stomp through the sand as fast as my little legs can carry me. I giggle as I zoom past the clumps of adults and teenagers.
"I coming up behind you!" Yelled Jace. I look behind to see that sure enough Jace is catching up to me, reaching his arm out, ready to yank on my shirt and pull me down. Sure enough I feel his fingers clench onto my shirt and ball it up into a fist, and yanked as hard as he could.
I plopped onto the sand with a thud, then he fell over giggling like a maniac.
"Jace!" I whined "That wasn't funny!"
"Oh yes it was"
"Oh no it wasn't"
We kept going at until we started to both laugh. It was pretty funny. Me and Jace are both five and live close enough to the beach to come out here regularly. I was even better since it was the summer.
We look at each other and get up, we nod, knowing exactly what we were going to do next. Cotton candy stealing. We would always go and steal some cotton candy from the boardwalk. Jace would always go and stall the person working. He would say that he would have to potty and his mother wasn't with him. I would sneak into the booth and then take the cotton candy out of the machine that would make the cotton candy. Simple as that!
We went up to exact same booth as before. "Mr?" Asked Jace and looked up. The man sighed and asked "again?" Jace nodded and the man said "let's go" he then walked out of the booth holding jaces hand. I watch as they disappear, I look around and get to work. I slip though the poorly sucured booth, reach as high as I could and scape enough cotton candy out of the machine for the two of us. I then slip behind the nearest booth without anyone noticing that I hade the cotton candy and waited. He then came over and we made a run for it.
Haha, I wish this never ends.

"I'm leaving" Jace said one day as we sat eating ice cream on the edge of a dock. I could see tears running down his eyes as I drop my ice cream in shock. What did he mean? Is he going to a sleepover? Or another family gathering? My emotions were starting to get the better of me.
"What do you mean?" I asked, scared of his answer.
"I'm leaving.... I'm leaving and I won't be able to be around" he said quivering.
"No you can' t, you promised you'd always be their with me" I cried. I than ran without saying a goodbye. I could hear him calling after me. I ignored him, I hate him, I hate him so much. How could he abandon me? We were suppose to be their for each other he promised me! I than get home, go to my room and cry myself to sleep.
