Ten years latter
Years have past since I've seen Jace. Days turned into months, months turned into years. Time flies by very quickly, it seems like. At first I would cry myself to sleep because I felt so alone, but it got better.
We moved, I got my first puppy, my first bra, then my first crush. I got my learners permit, and then my license. So many things have happened in those ten long years. "It will get better soon" my mom would say as she ran her fingers through my hair. But... it never truly got better. I try to forget, but an ache in my heart has always been their.
It always will.

Ding, Ding, Ding!
That was sound of my alarm going off. Crap, I have to get up and get ready. I can't miss the bus again. My mother would kill me if I missed it again.
I groan as I hit the little button to silence that cursed thing. God, it so annoying. I force myself to remove the comforter from my dead body. I slowly rise up from the bed like a vampire rising out of a coffin, and plop my feet down on the ground. I stand up and trudge downstairs to the kitchen.
"Speak of the devil" grins my dad as I plop down on a stool close to the dining table. I groan in response as I lazily pour myself a bowl of count chocula, into one of the four bowls already stacked up on the table.
"Is Malec even up?" I ask
"What do you think?"
"Nope"
"You definitely are right about that" chuckled my mother as she took a sip of her coffee. Oh how she adored coffee, along with Malec. Me and my dad absolutely loathe coffee. We agree that's it too bitter. The only way for my to drink that foul stuff is if you force me. I eat my breakfast, get my bag and head out to the bus stop.
"Hey Em" I said as I stop at the corner of the block.
Em is short for Emily. She is one of my Best friends. I have a lot of Best friends but she has always been their for me, through thick and thin. She's always been their.
"Ready for finals?" I ask
"Hell no!" She says and me and her laugh. The bus pulls up and we hop on. We then make our way to school. We then get out at "Hell high" as we call it. Me and Em head our separate ways, and I make my way to Algebra. Algebra isn't exactly my best suit. I usually go for chemistry or drama.
I sit down in my usual desk by a few of my other friends. They chatter on about finals, how they are going to fail, or this is going to be the easiest thing in the whole entire world. I really don't care as long as I get them over with. Then all of the usual chatter stops, it's dead silent in the room. Not because our teacher is coming in, no, people would still mutter a little.
I then look at where everyone else is staring and look and gasp. There stood the most gorgeous boy ever. He had intense grayish gold eyes. He had a chiseled jaw, strong feature that made him stand out even more than the other hot guys. What topped it off was his jet black hair cut into a perfect buzz cut. He looked so familiar, but where is he from?
Our teacher walked and everyone scattered to their seats not keeping theirs eyes off him. This is going to get interesting. Mrs. Myers walked up to the front of the class where she would usually give lectures.
"I hope that you all study for finals, as you all know we will be taking finals all week starting today, oh and I would like to introduce you to a new student, this is Jace Reckly, he will be joining our class starting today,Jace please stand up."
I didn't hear her say the last part because my ears were pounding. Is he who I think he is? Jace from 10 years ago? Boardwalk Jace? I didn't know, but ones thing is for sure I will find out. I must get to the bottom of this.
