I woke up in a good mood. I took a shower and got in the new outfit I bought a couple weeks ago. I studied for a while. Jimin was still asleep, and Tae was on his phone with his earbuds in.My phone buzzed and I picked it up. It was a text from Jungkook. We had exchanged numbers the day before, and had been texting (mostly in emojis). He asked if I wanted to have dinner with him. I agreed.
When it was time to leave I called an Uber. As usual, few kids stared as I got in the fancy vehicle. At least I didn't have to be on that smelly bus again. I only use public transportation when Iv'e used up most of my allowance (which tends to be pretty often these days). When we arrived, I was just on time. That was because traffic was heavy, and I asked the driver to stop for some coffee.
I found the exact spot mom was referring to in the letter. I waited.
And waited...
And waited...
And then waited some more.
She finally came about 20 minutes late. It's not her fault. She's a busy woman. She works a lot. Although, I don't know exactly where she works. She never goes into a lot of detail about her job. I never ask too many questions either. She walked up to me and smiled. My mom had brown eyes and brown hair, but she had dyed it black. It was in a slightly disheveled top knot. She wore ripped jeans and a pink and white crop top. It may sound like an unusual thing for a 35 year old woman to wear, but she didn't look a day over 26. She wore her usual red lip tint, some mascara, and some pink and gold eyeshadow.
We greeted each other and she immediately started asking questions about school. We talked for a while, and then decided to go grab a drink. I told her I knew the perfect place. We walked to a smoothie cafe.
I was happy to bring her here. The smoothies tasted amazing and the interior design was really nice. It looked sleek and modern with its black high chairs with teel cushions, and small white chairs with pink cushions. The walls were purple and white. It was definitely unique and cute. I didn't want to bring her to a basic cafe, so I chose this place.
I insisted on buying the smoothie for her. We talked for an hour before her phone buzzed. She looked at the message and said she had to get going. She had a work emergency and was called in. We said our goodbyes, and couldn't help but be slightly disappointed. She promised to meet up with me again soon.
I decided to take the bus home to save some money, because the dorms weren't that far away. When I got home, Tae asked me how the trip was. I told him it was good. I listened to music and did a face mask. Jimin had went shopping, and when he got back, he gave me a new pair of earrings he thought would look good on me. They did.
"These do look really good. Thanks bro."
He smiled and said,"I told you I have great fashion sense."
We laughed.I rinsed off my face mask and changed into a different outfit. I grabbed my phone and went to Jungkook's dorm for dinner. He had made rice and put on a Kdrama. It was so much fun. After that, we studied English for a while and then I went back to my room. This was the best day I've had in a while.
I purple you 💜💜💜
