Another night with him. Your mum probably thought something was going on but that is not the case. "Never with my best friend," you'd tell her and she'd simply laugh, saying that's exactly what she used to say about your father. But you paid no attention to her. Mikey was your best friend; you grew up with him (him being slightly older, he's two years your senior). If you wanted to spend the night with your lifetime best friend, then Goddammit, you were going to spend the night with your lifetime best friend. You had just gotten done changing into your pajamas when Mikey walks in, no knocking or anything. "MICHAEL," you scream in protest to this invasion of your personal space. "Hey Y/N," he murmmers, half smiling. "I was changing," you declare hoping that his sly smile would fly off of his face. But it did just the opposite. His smirk grew into a smile as he shrugs carelessly while saying his favourite word in the world "So?"
"So, you could have seen me shirtless!"
"You've seen me shirtless, Y/N."
"That's different. You're a guy, Mikey. Girls see guys shirtless ALL. THE. TIME. Haven't you heard of a beach," you protest as he sits on your bed. Well, not your bed, the guest room bed but with as often as you stayed the night, it might as well be your bed. "Guys see girls shirtless ALL. THE. TIME. Haven't you heard of-," Mikey starts but you cut him off. "Yes. I've heard of....that," you say, feeling your face heat up. "What do you mean by
that," Mikey asks sarcastically. "For all I know, that could mean ice cream"."You know what I meant, Michael Gordon," you say begrudgedly.
"Woah. No need to pull out my middle name on me, Y/N. All I did was mention sex. Just like I hear you and your 'girlfriends' talking about gays," he murmmers, his taunting evident in his voice. You're rendered speechless. Since when do you and your friends talk about gays?! You talk about guys, definitely, but gays was a totally different subject. "Since when do me and my gang talk about gays," you finally manage to sputter out, using the lazy term of 'gang' to describe your group of friends. Michael's face slides into another smirk, and he starts ticking names off on his fingers. "To start things off, how about Justin? Then there's
Manny, Davy, Zach, Kole, Joshua C., Andrew F., Gordon,.....And me....," he trails off, looking away from your gaze. "Pardon me," you belt, surprised by what your best friend had just said. "And ME," he repeats, extra emphasis on the me. Had your best friend just told you he was....gay? "Say again," you sputter out, wanting to believe you misheard him. His head turns to face you, and he looks you in the eyes. "Y/N, I'm gay."
