(Hey! This is me and my best friends' first story, so please enjoy!)

As the gray morning light shined through my shades, I began to come to my senses. I rolled out of bed and dug through my still-packed suitcase and found my toiletries. After I had showered, I carefully stepped down the stairs, as to not wake Avery and Leo. I smiled slightly at hearing Leo's soft sleepy mumbles as he turned over in his sleep.

As I dumped two eggs into a pan, I heard one of them moving around their room, and a few moments later, Leo's heavy footsteps came up behind me. He yawned and stretched, rubbing his blue eyes.

"I smelled food cooking so I had to come see what it was," said Leo with a hint of humor in his deep voice.

"Sorry, but I only made enough for myself," I said laughing, reaching up on tip-toes to ruffle his blonde hair.

I tipped the egg onto a plate, and went to sit at the small kitchen island. A few minutes later, Avery stepped into the room, slumping into a chair. She yawned and stretched, flicking her curly brown hair over the back of the chair. As she was running her hands through her dark hair, Leo set three cups of coffee in front of us, before pulling a chair up for himself, and sagging into it.

The silence is filled with Avery noisily slurping coffee and the gentle sound of my fork hitting the plate of eggs in front of me.

" So.. does anyone know where the tickets for the ComicCon are packed?" I ask after a few minutes. Avery looks up sleepily, nods her head towards Leo, and speaks.

" I gave them to him 'cause he insisted I would lose them." I glance over to Leo who shrugs and puts his hands up in defence under Avery's icy glare.

" It's true, you would lose them. I, on the other hand, have put them in a very secure location," he teased.  I roll my eyes and glance over at his splayed out figure.

"Would you like to share with us where this 'secure location' is?" I gestured with finger quotations.

He grins slyly, looks at Avery, and says "I'll tell you tomorrow." Avery rolls her eyes at me, sipping her coffee.

"Remind me again why we brought this oaf with us? He doesn't even like ComicCons."

" Oh, come on Avery, we all know you would miss him the most if we didn't bring him," I said, shooting a sly wink in Leo's direction, and his cheeks flush a brilliant red underneath his boyish freckles. I glance over at Avery and her cheeks are just as bright as his. Why did I think this was a good idea? Trapped the entire fucking summer with these two lovebirds.

" Hehe, I'll leave you two to your own devices," I say as I walk up the stairs to get dressed. Glancing over my shoulder I see Avery struggling to gain her composure, reaching over to punch the still cherry-red Leo in the shoulder a little too hard.

A little while later, as I begin to pull on my black, high waisted, mom-jeans,  I hear a knock on my door, followed by the sounds of Avery huffing into my room, throwing herself onto the heavy blue blanket that covers my bed.

" Why the fuck did you say that? You know I have been crushing on him!" Avery yells, not quite  loud enough for Leo to hear. I roll my eyes and reach behind my back to clip my bra in place.

" That's exactly why I said it! You two have so much chemistry," I defended. "And he likes you too!"

" Oh my god stop saying that," Avery says with a slight blush, because she knows it's true, even if she doesn't realise it yet.

" Oh come on Aves. Do you want me to go through every single thing he's done? There is so much proof he likes you, man. Example one: he put two spoons of sugar, and no milk in your coffee this morning, just the way you like it. And, when you dated Josh, he was obviously so fucking jealous. Even you could tell that he was a little bit happy when you two broke up. AND he isn't dating anyone. Can you remember the last time he introduced us to a girlfriend? He's totally hot and has like, one ex. You can tell by the way he looks at when we are out to make sure you are having a good time, HE IS SMITTEN." Avery, who has been getting slightly redder after each word I spoke, sits up, running a hand through her curtains of hair.

" Shut the fuck up. Let's just pick out our outfits for the ComicCon tomorrow." she[a] says, as she begins to pull various pieces of clothing from my suitcase.

" Hey don't throw my shit around," I laugh and pull her away from my suitcase.

"Avery. Check the left side pocket on my suitcase. I packed ya something..." You say the last bit in a sing song voice before plopping down on the bed.

Looking at me suspiciously, she pulls on the zipper just as I say, "It's for you and Leo to share..." When the zipper is tugged all the way open a pack of condoms and an edible thong falls out on her feet. For the third time this morning Avery's face flushes red, and she sinks to the ground holding her face in her hands.

" Where the fuck did you find this?" Avery laughs nervously.

" I have my ways," I say with a wink. "And I stopped by Gucci For My Cucci AND Forever 69 before we left." I laugh as she sinks further into the ground, her face the color of her bright red top.

" Come on let's just pick out some clothing options all ready," Avery says with an exasperated sigh.

"Mkay," I reply as I pull on a light pink cropped sweater. "Done."

Avery rolls her eyes as I slide the doors open to step outside into the cool London air. Soon after I step outside it begins to sprinkle, and I am reminded of how little it rains back home. At this time of the year, it is very hot and dry in New Mexico. That is one of the reasons Avery, Leo and I decided to come out here for the summer. The ComicCon happened to be scheduled a few days after we arrived, so we bought tickets as soon as possible because there were going to be some actors that we know.

Seeing as it was nearly dinner time, due to the time difference in London, we decided to explore the town that our rental house was in, and then find somewhere to eat dinner. Then take some sleeping pills and force ourselves to adjust to London time, so we would be rested for the ComiCon tomorrow.
