Bokuto looked at you with a hurt expression, and that tore at you. It hurt you so much knowing that because of you somebody else is suffering, someone that cares about you nonetheless.

And you decide to make a ballsy move. you whip your head towards Bokuto grab both his hands and make up your mind.

" then confess to me right now Bokuto."

You held a look of seriousness in your eyes as you let the words leave your mouth. You watch as Bokuto's face morphed into shock and embarrassment. " (y/n), I can't do that to you, your with akaashi , he's my bestfriend and I'm not willing to risk your relationship with him and mine just to tell you something I was too scared to."

It wasn't selfish. It wasn't going to hurt you. Can't he see that? You want to be his emotional punching bag, the person to take away his pain. You want to be that person, you don't want him to suffer with his emotions, watching you and akaashi like a movie, not being able to intervene.

" Bokuto, I need to hear you confess, please."

I need this for my own sanity.

Bokuto looked conflicted, he didn't want to ruin things with his feelings, when akaashi had told him that you two where together. Bokuto felt helpless, he felt his heart break. How cruel was the world? It wasn't some random stranger that had decided to date you , it was his best friend.

And although he's never told anyone, he's always has a small crush on akaashi. He knew he was straight so he just pretended that he didn't feel anything like that towards akaashi, that'd be weird right?

He always kept his focus on you. Truth be told that before you confessed to akaashi, Bokuto only has a small crush on you. However as time went on and he ended up being around you more, those feelings blossomed into something utterly horrifying.

It wasn't until long that he couldn't stand being around either of you, if it wasn't (y/n) that he had to worry about, Akaashi was always there to make his heart run in circles instead. He hated himself for having feelings for the either of you.

He didn't want to ruin things the way they where with his feelings, so he won't. Instead of telling you that he likes you, he'll tell you that he likes akaashi. Wait no, that's worse. What if you don't understand and think of him as disgusting then tell akaashi?

It's better to tell you what you hear, and only pray that it doesn't harm the trio's dynamic.

" (y/n). I have a crush on you."

That's more what you wanted to hear, it seemed like Bokuto was still highly bothered despite getting that off his chest. You can't blame him, you would be nervous beyond belief if you where in his shoes.

And this is where you where unsure of what to do, You didn't think this through and this is the consequences of submitting to your impulsive nature. You can't accept his feelings, you wouldn't only be playing with his head and only accepting out of sympathy. You would tatter the dynamic between you Bokuto and Akaashi.

Oh Bokuto, I'm so sorry.

" Bokuto. I can't accept your feelings at the moment but, maybe We can come to the park again at 10:00 P. M. I'll sit in the swing next to you and your tell me you love me, although.. that time I'll say it back."

He had tears in his eyes, aggressively whipping them down but they kept coming as his vision got clearer. Bokuto saw a sight of a smiling (y/n), whom was also flustered and teary eyed.

" I'll be waiting for that day then Bokuto, don't forget, 10:00 P.M. you walked away."

that night as you remembered, akaashi and you had a nasty argument. You where at fault however, you accused him of being "carless" about your relationship and flirting with another girl.
