In the hood!

Chapter Three

She lay in a bed of straw. Her head still aching.She felt and found a small lump at the back of her bandaged head. And she started to wonder where she is. She remember the riot. Then there was this monster. Suddenly there was a sudden movement from behind the door she could see four set of padded paws. It is trying to get in . The door swung inwards, and then Aldo stuck his head in.Seeing his dog temporarily let's her forget about the incident earlier. She was relieved to see his longtime friend and companion. Aldo jumped in the side of the bed and joined her.
That is when Alaris entered the room.
He was relieved to find Coleene awake.
"It's good you are finally awake now."
Your friend there won't let any of us get near you. " Except of course when I come here to change the bandage on your head.And once when I changed your clothes.
Coleene saw her clothes hanging by the chair near the side table.
She suddenly checked her clothing. She was blushed at the thought.
That's when a hooded figure entered and saw her in that awkward situation. Then she heard a giggle.
"I guess our lover boy here have awakened our lovely damsel." It's time for our patient to eat." And then in a low but authoritative voice she said."Young man can you please bring the dog out so that I may attend to our patient!"
Alaris wanted to stay but a look on the hooded figure made him act and do as he was told.
He stood up and offered his chair and beckoned the dog to come, the dog hesitated but Coleene told the dog to come. And it jumped down from the bed and followed Alaris out of the room who gently closed the door. By the way, He said I have washed the hoodie . Blood was all over it and rats are attracted to the smell of blood.
Again at the mention of the hoodie she blushed and the hooded figure burst into sudden laughter.

Morielle took of her hood and revealed her face to Coleene.
She has this face that would make anybody feel at ease. Long braided hair with color as the bright sunshine as it hits the morning flowers. A long pointy nose and two steady eyes like that of a cat in the dark.,red lips and white skin .
Coleene recognized her she was one of the three hooded figure that the inn keeper was speaking with at the table.
And she remembered the inn keeper.
Morielle noticed her worries and assured her everything is alright m.j ow. She informed her that the inn keeper went to accompany the two other hooded figure and took chase of the monster.
And that she was the one taking care of Coleene. She also mentioned that Alaris was just teasing her when he said he was the one who helped changed her clothes . But he was the one who stood guard while she was in unconscious .
Coloone could not hide the smile on her face...
and it did not escape the eyes of Morielle.

Three figures could be seen lurking in the shadows of the nearby forest, obviously searching for something or someone.
But the thing they are looking for has been long gone. It has escaped them ,taking whatever it came for.

Sukhar commanded Orth to stop. He took off from the special saddle he have placed on the gurakudas back. He used it when they need to travel far or in hurry. He sat on a log under a big pine. He checked his sling bag and found the vial he put the blood that Orth have collected. He smiled,he was successful,He was the only one who tried and succeeded. All others ahead of him failed. He set the mind link again . He commanded Orth to go back and scout if any one was following them. He told him not to engage but hide and report to him. And if there is anyone following he should take a different route and come back to him immediately.
Orth took off. Leaving his master who was busy with his little things. The vial he had placed the blood in.
Sukhar watched as orth took off. He was amazed how strong and gentle this thing is. He remembered how it appeared from the inn,holding a mug so delicately. With both hands and gave it to him. He quickly transferred it to this vial in his hands and keep it safe in his sling bag. He remembered well how Orth ran fast and jumped high while protecting him so he will not fall from it's back. He remembered how it would play with the leftover food he gave it. Orth was still a child. Probably the last of his kind. And he was lucky he was its master.
Suddenly Orth appeared from a branch of one of the foliage. He was not excited. He knew then they were safe. They can rest now.

As Coleene stirred from the bed she was resting for two days. The door opened. She was greeted by the innkeeper with a happy smile.
Dhugal has been all she has ever since she was a child. She knows he is not his father but she loved him. He took care of her as if she was his real daughter.
"Well well sleepy head" It's time you get up from that bed my dear, Or you will fail to say your gratitude to your hero!
Coleene replied, And why is that so?
Dhugal Stormseeker laughed and said. He will be leaving for a quest! I think with a heavy heart. He set off a while earlier and could not see you because he said it will break his heart to say his goodbye to you.
Coleene hurriedly stepped out of the bed, Oh that fool! Who does he think he is . Saying his feelings for me and yet leaving me soon . With out even saying goodbye. She was already shouting. He is the man I'm waiting for all my life. She pushed Dhugal out of her way. She immediately opened the door and there was Alaris handsomely dressed holding a bunch of flowers. A little smile on his handsome face and he said.
I picked flowers for you to place beside your bed. I didn't know you were already up!
Coleene froze!She blushed,she was so shy,but was able to ask,Did you hear what I said back there?
Alaris smiled and replied, I only heard you shouting that you were waiting for something all of your life? What was that all about?
