I saw you from afar.

You were tall
You were smart
You were quiet
I was not so tall
I was so-so smart
I was loud.

I saw you and thought what a glory.
Many would say cute but I would say so damn fine.
You were a 5 five star dish at a 3 star restaurant.
Smart, awkward, timid, and geeky, what a cute package I thought.

After a year of small talk and awkward long walks I decided to tell you.

Three words was all I said.

With those 3 words our distance grew 3 times larger.
Soon it was like we were nonexistent.

Too dissapointed to move foward.
I thought making the distance larger would help.
I turned back and went back to the time where you didn't know.
