Chapter 12

•Spencer's POV•

2 days later...

Today is the day!

I finally get to go home! Ugh, after days of being in this prison I get to go home to my room, my uneven pictures on the wall, and I get to meet Hazel!

I'm nervous to meet her, will she hate me cause of my scars? Will the pregnancy be too much for her? Toby said she was a great person so I can't wait, but for the past few days he's been sorta secretive with my mom. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but I always have my wonders.

"Toby?" I asked while he was packing my bedside table objects.

"Yeah babe?" He answered.

"What have you been talking to my mom about? The past few days? You seem somewhat suspenseful. His forehead crinkled a tad; happens when he's nervous.

"Spence, your sister, she doesn't want me to tell you yet, she wants to see how you react first." I'm lost.

"What's that suppose to mean? Is she gonna throw dynamite in my room and see how I 'react'?

He laughed, "Do you really think I would let her do that Spence? It's nothing really, she just wants to see." Now I wanna know.

"Please tell me!" I exclaimed.

He chucked again, "I'll tell you anything else, but that."

I gave him a suspenseful look, "Ok then Officer Cavanaugh, how many laws have you broken."

His smile turned into a rascal smirk, "If I counted, we'd be here all day, but I thought you wanted to get home? because I could count."

I laughed, "Fine, but don't start counting, or I'll put the deputy on speaker, come on I wanna go home!"

We both laughed until our hands met, and we walked out of the room with my bags and big belly in hands.

When we arrived at my house Toby helped me out of the car with all the stupid bandages the doctor said to be 'fragile' with. Ugh.... this was going to be one long recovery.

But anyway, I'm so excited that we're having a girl! I think Hanna may be a bit more though knowing she has someone to shop for. Lol!

When we were at the hospital, they gave the baby vitamins because I didn't get to take any prenatal anything, so yeah.

Toby went ahead and took the bags inside the barn while I went and talked to my mom, but when I opened the doors I found Jason and my dad arguing, what were any of them doing here?

"Listen you can't just treat Spencer like a piece of shit, you have to show her some respect. She's been through a lot these past months; she's in a lot of pain," Jason was in the middle of saying.

"No you listen sir, I could care less about ether Hazel, Spencer, or even you. You were all mistakes. I have a life I still have to live, so EXUSE me as I get my stuff. You have some god-damn nerve coming into my house and saying these things, your an idiot Jason," my dad yelled back.

Jason stepped out of his way, but then a sharp pain went to my side and I grunted and Jason looked over at me.

"Spencer, uh, I didn't know you were standing there," he said as he walked toward me. All I could do was hug him.

"Thank you Jason, for standing up for me against my dad."

"Hey, he's our dad and your my sister, I would do anything to protect you," I pulled away from the hug to find Toby walking into the house.

"Hey Jason," Toby said as they 'bro hugged'

"You guys better get out of here while your dad...." Jason started, but stopped.

"What are you doing here whore!" A voice said. I turn around to find my dad. And Jason and Toby covering me for protection.

"Dad, please forgive me, I still love you as my dad."

"After everything you made this family go through, you deserve a more than what you just went through."

Ok, now that really hurt. Toby stepped forward, but I held him back. Then I walked through they're arms.

"After everything I've done? YOU RUINED THIS FAMILY! You made mom suffer for years, she feels like shit because of every marrying you. I've been scared of you for years trying to be your perfect daughter, but you know what? I'm not perfect! You aren't ether, NO ONE IS! You make me sick, this isn't your house anymore! GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE BEFORE I CALL THE FREAKING COPS, and if you ever think about hurting Toby or my baby girl. I swear to god I I'll personally put you in hell. Your not my father."

With that, he turned around to walk out but turned back around and knocked over the pole I was holding with my IV meds which caused me to fall with it, then I tasted blood.

"I'm sir she'll turn into a pretty little bitch like you," he snapped.

Then I saw Toby kneel at my side, and Jason slap my dad right across the face and knee him in the gut. Then he finally got the hell out.

"Spence, can you hear me?" Toby asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, I think my nose is just bleeding."

He looked worried, "Spence you have a huge gash on your face, and do you think the baby is okay?"

"I don't even feel it, and I did fall on a couple pillows luckily, I think she's fine."

He helped me off the floor and Jason helped clean the gash while Toby finished unpacking upstairs.

"So your having a girl?" he asked.

"Yep! I'm so excited!" I practically smiled until I winced on pain from the gash.

"Sorry, but your done!" He said.

"Thank you Jason, for everything," he smiled as I pulled him into a hug.

"Spencer!" Toby shouted as he came down the stairs, "There's someone who would like to talk you."

I toke the phone from Toby and put it to my ear.

S: "Hello?"

H: "Hi Spencer, it's Hazel."

S: "OMG hi! I can't wait to meet you!"

H: "Same Spencer! I'm so excited! I'm so glad your alive and well. Where and when would you like to meet?

S: "How about the Applerose grill tomorrow at 12? I still get a couple days off school until I get my IV's out, so it will be perfect!"

H: "Awesome! Do you mind if I bring my boyfriend Josh? He and Toby have gotten to know each other a little and I was supposing he would want to come due to his personality. Lol"

S: "Yeah, you know Toby", he gave me an ackward glance and I couldn't help but laugh, "And yes, please bring Josh! I would love to meet him."

H: "Thanks! I can't wait to meet you, we have so much to talk about."

S: "Same for me," thinking about the past events today.

H: "Bye Spencer!"

S: "Bye Hazel!"
