STARING ACROSS AT WHERE Chūya and Dazai are bickering like usual, Angel can't help but smile softly. In some ways they're like the older brothers she lost, but, as of late, they've become shrouded in a different kind of light. She can't help but notice that there's something...different about them. Although, that could may well be only her mind tormenting her; making her see things that aren't there yet again. Still, there's a strange warmth that arises within Angel as she looks between the pair, and she can't say whether it's relief they're alive or something else entirely.
There's a bottle of wine open on the table between them, one of Chūya's no doubt, and it's almost empty — and that's only one of the several empty bottles sitting neatly under the table. Their glasses are currently being refilled with some overpriced red wine, courtesy of Chūya, and Dazai is beginning to get slightly giggly, visible dark eye accentuated by the rosy flush on his cheeks. On the other hand, Chūya looks to be barely affected, but Angel can tell by the look in his blue eyes that the alcohol is beginning to take its toll on the sixteen-year-old.
"You couldn't be more a pain in my ass," Chūya mutters with a faint smile of amusement. There's something unusually soft in those blue depths; something so utterly warm and foreign that it makes Angel's stomach flip and burn. "I'm sure our little angel agrees."
Dazai turns his eye to her, a look in its darkness that she has no name for, and suddenly pouts like a small child, but it's still rather cute on him. "Aw, don't tell me you agree with this shorty, tenshi. He's more of a pain than I am!"
Angel snickers and picks up the bottle off the table, downing what remains of the wine within. "You're both bloody annoying in your own ways. I'm not picking a side because you would just pout and cry!"
Chūya cackles drunkenly and Dazai grins lopsidedly, the latter tipping his head in a way which allows the loosened bandage around his right eye to droop slightly. She has seen numerous scars that cover the brunet's body, but she has never once seen the eye he keeps hidden behind that bandage, and it irritates her. By the look on Chūya's face, he's also somewhat curious, and they share a look, instantly formulating a little more than tipsy plan to get that blasted material off an unsuspecting Dazai before the night's over.
