Groaning, he squinted his eyes to get used to the light. It quickly faded, as though someone dimmed it for him. His head felt light as he forced his eyes open, being greeted by an unfamiliar ceiling. Now hyperaware of his surroundings, Katsuki let his face fall aside, seeing a bag of blood connected to him through his wrist. His other arm was wrapped in bandages, so it seemed, and he felt like shit.

"You're finally awake I see"

Bakugou frowned as he saw the frame of his homeroom teacher in the dim light of the room.
"Where the hell am I?"
"Nurses office" he answered, short and direct like always. Suddenly his memories came back to him, his breath hitching as he thought about what happened. Dunce face caught him while he was cutting... When he slammed the door in his face, he had reached for the knife again.

He heard the footsteps in the hallway and just wanted to end it as soon as possible. He tried slashing his wrists, but he only got to do one before the door burst open and ice covered its frame. He failed... Now everyone would know how pathetic he truly is... That he's even weaker than they imagined him to be...

"You passed out from blood loss" Aizawa continued.
"I have confiscated your pocketknife for safety reasons"
Bakugou nodded, swallowing the lump in his throat before asking a dreaded question.
"Did you call m-my parents?"
His voice cracked, making him sound so fucking weak. He hated it! But he couldn't hide his fear, knowing the protocol of this school.

Parents were to be warned if their child was causing harm to themselves with the intend to hurt themselves or worse. It's so they could have a say in the precautions or some bullshit like that. The thing is, if Bakugou's parents were called, the old hag already knew he exposed himself. She knew he had broken his image and she would deem him weak and worthless like all those times before. They'd probably pull him out of school because of it... But he didn't want that! He didn't want to leave UA just to go back to that hell!

"No" Aizawa responded, seeing his student visibly relax. Such a simple sign, yet it triggered anger within the teacher.
"I wanted to, well, I need to do so, those are the rules, but I won't"
"W-why?" Katsuki asked confused. Shouta sighed, taking the dark brown book from the table beside him and holding it up for Bakugou to see. A bookmark was visibly sticking out, showing where the black haired man had stopped reading.

He was actually reading right up until the moment he noticed movement in the bed and heard his student wake up. The things that were described in there... So terrible, tragic. Things that a child should never go through... Yet all written so beautifully poetic. None of the things that he'd expected of the problem child. He noticed Bakugou tense up again, fear evident in his eyes.
"How the hell did you get that?!"

"I see you recognize it" Aizawa stated, putting it back down.
"Kirishima was so kind as to hand it to me. You should thank him because it's the only reason your parents aren't alerted about what happened"
Katsuki bit the inside of his lip, glaring down as he clenched his fists. Damn Shitty Hair... A part of him is grateful, another part of him curses the red head for caring about a nobody like himself.

He couldn't imagine how worried he must be about him right now, seeing as he was already so concerned when he didn't take the fucking medicine for a damn cold.
"Your mother seems to be the source of all this, am I correct?" Eraserhead asked, careful, not trying to frighten the blonde.
"Y-yeah..." Bakugou choked out, taking a shaky breath.
"She... S-she abuses me... I-I'm w-weak"

Tears filled his eyes and he silently started crying as Aizawa did something unexpected. He pulled Bakugou towards him for a hug.
"If one of my strongest students is going to call himself weak, I better expel all of 1-A together" he mused, letting the blonde cry onto his shoulder.
