I see movement in the corner that is facing the bed. There's a shadow, but it's not moving an inch. I slink into the back of the bed frame. I just keep staring at the corner. The room keeps quiet. But then, there's a slight chuckle.

"Looks like you found me kid." a deep voice starts talking. The shadow starts walking towards me. I hear a click and suddenly there's light.

After a second my eyes adjust and in the middle of the room, stands a skelton.

Wait.... a skeleton?

I blink a few times and yes, it's a skelton. They're wearing a giant blue winter coat with a bunch of white fluff on the hood. Also, some black shorts with a white stripe on each side, revealing their bone legs, ending with some pink fuzzy slippers.

Their eye sockets are facing right at me with one little white dot in each.

I can't move.

They're terrifying.

It starts shuffling towards me, I shove my self farther into the bedframe. When they got near the bed, they reached out to me with boney fingers. Without a second thought, I swat away the hand.

I then realize what I did. The skeleton's expression became frustrated.  I cower. Covering my body with a blue blanket.

"Listen kid, I'm not gonna hurt ya," he grumbles. Reaching out again. "I'm just gonna check that nasty cut on yur arm."

I can't help but move away. Causing me to roll onto the floor, landing on my left arm. I help in pain and l curl up into a ball.

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way kiddo. And you're gonna leave me no choice but go the hard way" they growl. I take a look around my surroundings and spot the door.

I crawl over and dash through it. I look and see I'm on a second floor.

"AJ!" I scream.

No response.

I can hear the skelton running behind me, so I book it.  I tumble down the stairs and scamper to the front door. I yank it open and run outside.

I run back out into the cold, taking a left and hiding behind a garage that's close by.  I can hear the door open and footsteps running around. It sounded like there was more than one monster looking for me.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU, SANS! YOU LET THEM GET AWAY, YOU LAZY BONES! NOW THE HUMAN IS OUT THERE SOMEWHERE!" I hear a loud shrill voice. I peak around the corner to see.......... another skelton.

But this one is different. The other skelton was only a few inches taller than me, but this one was giant. He was taller than me by like 4 feet. He was wearing what seemed like some makeshift-armor and a long red scarf. They are accompanied by the previous skelton, looking around. I hide behind the garage again and inch towards the woods behind it.

Before I can realize, I step on a twig. I hear the loud snap, then silence. Right as I'm about to dash to the trees, I feel a grip on my arms. I can't move. I look down to see skelton fingers holding me in place. The shorter skeleton is right behind me.

I let out a giant scream only to have my mouth covered by a boney hand. I continue screaming, now muffled. I can only look in fear as I wait for them to kill me. The bone feels hard on my skin, making me hesitate at breathing.

"Geez, you're becoming a real pain in my backbone, kid," he states as he picks me up and walks back towards that house. I struggle to try to get out of his grip or atleast loosen his hand from my mouth. Neither are successful.

"Papyrus, I got em'," the skelton says as we enter the front door. The taller skelton runs out of what seems like a kitchen, holding a pot spoon in one of their gloved hands.

"BRILLIANT SANS! THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS VERY PLEASED WITH YOU!" it basically yells. I flinch, still trying to free myself. The shorter skelton walks over to a green couch and places me on it.

I once again make a run to to door only to stop a foot away. I'm frozen and place and have no control.  Again, I see a purple heart come out of my chest. I finally realize that there is a light blue aura completely surrounding me. I'm lifted into the air and land back on the couch.

I look to see the skelton holding out his hand, palm facing me. I heard in the history books that monsters had magic, but I never thought they could hold things with it. He keeps the aura around me.

"I'm getting tired of this kid, you're not leaving, so you better get comfortable." his  voice starts to raise. "How 'bout this? We got that little friend of your upstairs right now." he states. I look up at him immediately.

"AJ?" my voice breaks. The aura disperses,  but I don't move. I almost left AJ here, alone, to deal with these monsters by herself. I look back to the second floor. The was another room, other than the one I was in. The door was shut. I'm about to jump off the couch, but the short skelton walks towards me.

"Now, now. Let's not get hasty. She's alright, just resting. You guys had some pretty bad injuries there." He sits down next to me, I scoot as far away as I could. Why haven't they killed us yet? It sounded like they were seriously trying to help.

"W-w-why haven't you k-k-killed us y-yet?" I stutter. Bringing my knees up to my chin. I look to see a sympathetic look on the skeleton's face.

"Why would we kill you kid? You did nothin' wrong to us, did ya?" he states in a light tone. "My names Sans, San the Skelton, and that over there is my brother, Papyrus." he says, pointing over to the kitchen area.

"ITS THE GREAT PAPYRUS!" the other skelton corrects. With this, Sans looks over and gives me a small grin.

"So, would ya like to tell me where you guys got those marks?" he asks, pointing at my bandaged arm.
