Chapter 2 - Sasuke Goes To Work

"Oh thank God, you're doing okay! I was always in touched with Aunt Mikoto and fuck it Itachi, I wasn't able to sleep well for a year!" Shisui and Itachi were hugging each other tightly.
"I'm okay now, alright?" Itachi said as Shisui pulled away from his hug, then hugged Mikoto and Fugaku.

"Oh by the way, Sasuke, my secretary already sent someone to clean your house."
"Thank you very much, Shisui!" Mikoto was the one who acknowledged and hugged him again.
"I'm sorry though Aunt Mikoto, it was only the main house that I told them to clean. I got a text from Sasuke saying to never mind cleaning your guest house."

"I don't know with this brother of mine. It's like he's keeping people away," Itachi teased.

They all laughed, and Sasuke just facepalmed.

Then Shisui led all of them to his office. Shisui's office was not that big compared to Fugaku's old office, but still, a couch still fits inside, all four of them sat down as Shisui leaned against his desk.

"I apologize for my small office, don't worry Uncle Fugaku, no one used your office while you were away. And Sasuke since you'll be taking over, you'll do the cleaning," Shisui chuckled and everyone laughed.

"So as planned, Sasuke will be taking over. Itachi and I will be working side by side, we don't want you getting stressed now, do we?" He added looking at Itachi. "Anyway, we have maintained our partnership with Hyuga Corporation, which is a good thing. Mr. Hiashi Hyuga really wanted to cut ties with us, but was convinced by his daughter—"

"How?" Sasuke cut him off.
"Well, I don't know the details. What I only know was Mr. Hiashi was convinced by his eldest daughter, Hinata. And Hinata was convinced by her husband, the hokage."

"Woah! Hinata really ended up marrying Naruto, huh," Sasuke said.
He was not quite surprised since he knew they were already dating before they graduated college.

"Naruto? As in Sasuke's dumb best friend? The hokage?" Itachi was surprised. "Wow! Konaha changed a lot!" He added.

"Like I told you last night, Sasuke. With the hokage as your best friend, we will have strong connections," Shisui said. "Anyway as I was saying, we have managed to maintain it, but with all the issues that happened with Madara, a huge amount of money was involved, so we needed to reduce our staff. But with our partnership with Hyuga Corp., we managed to become stable. But our priority right now is to get back on our track, we don't want our partner to be really cutting ties with us," Shisui added.

Sasuke thought about what Shisui said. Naruto, who Sasuke believed is now his former best friend because he was not able to get in touch with him, convinced his wife and father-in-law to not cut ties with their company. Why would he do that after he pushed Naruto away? Is there still hope that Naruto still considers him his best friend?

Shisui then began talking again,
"Now, our new target to partner up with is the company of Mr. Kakashi Hatake. After he handed the hokage title to Naruto, he started his own business by building a factory of protective equipments, such as surgical masks, gloves, and whatnot for hospitals or doctors. Itachi and Sasuke both knew him back at school cause he was—"

"Our football coach," Itachi and Sasuke cut off Shisui in unison.
"He was not just a football coach, he was also our prefect that's why Dr. Tsunade trusts him. I still remember the day when he became hokage," Itachi added.

Hearing the name of Dr.  Tsunade—she is one of the best doctors in Konoha that's why before she became hokage, she was offered to teach medicine-related subjects at Konoha University—one of her students was none other than, the pink-haired beauty, Sakura, who always wanted to become a doctor.

He brushed off the idea of her when Shisui started talking again, he needed to focus.
"Yeah, since we were varsities back during our college days, Itachi and I were just ahead from Sasuke. He may look really chill, but he's a strict one," Shisui was explaining to Fugaku and Mikoto.

"Okay, now that you have returned, this is gonna be our next project. After we made our partnership with him, we still need to continue convincing him that we are worthy by doing some donations on a certain daycare center which Coach Kakashi is really fond of. This will give you another edge, Sasuke. Because the hokage's son is attending that daycare," Shisui explained.
"Naruto has a kid already?!" Sasuke was stunned.

After all the things that Shisui explained, Sasuke started getting serious. He fixed/cleaned his dad's former office.

The next day he asked for a meeting to strategize their partnership with his former coach. After how many days of meetings and strategizing, he scheduled a meeting with Kakashi regarding their partnership.

Kakashi was really surprised on seeing Sasuke. But he was even more surprised on how he's grown. He was just coaching him football before, and sending him to his office after getting himself in trouble with the other kids, but now he was doing negotiations with him regarding their businesses. Sasuke became extremely busy.

It has already been awhile since they arrived back at Konoha, and not a single old friend of his knew that he has already came back.

Hanabi Hyuga, the younger sister of Hinata who was now in charge of running their company, may probably know by now that Sasuke was the one taking over the Uchiha Corp., he wasn't really sure. If Hanabi knew, then she might've said something to Hinata and Naruto. But he didn't let that bother him. He focused on work, on his family, redecorating their old house since they have moved back in again, and nothing else.
