Chapter 20 - Sakura's Parents Ruined Everything

Sasuke has a new routine—again. He was no longer fetching Sarada, which he misses dearly, but he gets to talk to Sakura every single night.

They haven't seen each other for almost two weeks after that weekend, and they already felt like a couple having a long distance relationship. But even though they've both been telling each other how they feel every night, they still never discussed what their "status" really is. Are they official again? Who knows. But even so, Sasuke checks up on Sakura and Sarada every night, making sure he still knows everything about his daughter even though he doesn't get to see her.

It was another busy day, Sasuke just got back inside his office from a meeting, when he saw an unusual email sent to him after he re-opened his computer.
From: KIZASHI HARUNO
Subject: LET'S MEET LATER

Shit. It's Sakura's dad. Sasuke nervously clicked to open the mail and started reading.
"Sasuke,

My wife and I are back in town to visit my daughter and granddaughter. Why don't we all have dinner tonight? We will be doing some grocery shopping later at the mall, we can look for a restaurant afterwards.

Kizashi"

Sasuke immediately dialed Itachi and asked him to go to his office that instant, stuttering.

When Itachi rushed to Sasuke's office, he let his older brother read into the computer's monitor and read the unusual email. From a worried one, Itachi's expression became serious.

"Tell him we'll be meeting him later. Tell also Sakura that I'm coming," Itachi instructed.
Sasuke did as he was told. He may be the CEO that supposed to be the one giving orders, but in this case, he badly needs his older brother.

When Sasuke replied to the email, Kizashi immediately responded that they will be waiting for him at the sushi restaurant by the mall, and that they will make reservations. So he then started texting Sakura that when they meet them later, he will be bringing with him Itachi as well.

Sakura on the other hand was a bit confused by Sasuke's text message. So she just replied to him,
"Later? At the sushi restaurant? With Itachi? What do you mean?"

"Yeah, later at dinner. I hope it's okay that I let my brother tag along. We have reservations, right?" Sasuke texted back.

Sakura had no idea what the hell was Sasuke suddenly talking about, but whether with Itachi or not, she's looking forward on seeing him. It's been weeks! Sasuke just probably forgot to mention to her that he made reservations to finally see her.

She planned on leaving early for work on that day, so she wouldn't make Sasuke and Itachi wait for her that long. She was wondering if she should bring Sarada with her. But then again she knew Sasuke was right about giving Sarada some space, so then she brushed off the idea of bringing her with them. She will just wait when Sarada is ready to talk about her father again.

Later that night, Sasuke was so nervous, but Itachi reassured him that everything will be fine. Sasuke composed himself while inside their car on their way to the mall. He already expected rude words will be coming out of Sakura's parents' mouths. They will probably be calling him names and that he is not worthy of both Sakura and Sarada. But still, he needs to face them.

Finally when they reached the mall, the Uchiha brothers made their way to the sushi restaurant, both looking sharp with their suits since they just came off from work.

When they got there, they told the host they had a reservation along with the Harunos. So the host assisted them to a table with an old couple who already seemed to be Sakura's parents from afar, seated along with them is a red-headed guy, somewhat a bit older than Itachi, but Sakura was nowhere to be found.
