Flashback of the Past

Aisu’s POV

It seemed like forever. I just wanted to take one step and be there. “UUGGHHHHh why does that blasted island have to be so far!” I complained. “We’ll be there soon, just another hour and we’ll be at the sea,” Temari said. I pumped my fists in the air and held a wide grin while saying, “YES!” After an hour of constant jumping and running, we made it to the port. My face lit up. “Civilization!” I said. Kankuro eyes me weirdly, but I just stared at him back, pulled down the bottom of one of my eyelids and stuck my tongue at him.

“Our ship should be here in another hour, you two can go off while Kankuro and I get the place of our ride,” Temari said. Gaara didn’t show any reaction but I hugged her and thanked her. I grabbed Gaara’s hand, his sand refusing to disobey me, and dragged him to the town. “We’ll set sail at night, I want to talk to Shukaku, so you can sleep tonight. Don’t worry, he won’t rampage. He knows I’m much much stronger than him and wouldn’t dare defy his, ‘senpai’,” I said air quoting ‘senapi’. He nodded and we went around town.

There were so many new things! Maybe it’s because I hadn’t been to the country of the wind since the first Kazekage went into power. Everything’s changed. We both sat down on a bench, and Gaara took out a list of things Temari asked for the short trip. “She wants me to cook something? I wonder how long it’ll take for the ship to sink if I cook…” I said looking down, a depressing aura around me. “No, she means some take out, like some ramen,” Gaara stated calmly trying to comfort me. My aura went away and I smiled. “Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!” I said. He nodded and showed me the way to a ramen stand.

 

Gaara’s POV

Shukaku’s been quiet since she arrived and it’s actually been….nice? She doesn’t act like Shukaku at all. She’s nice and kind and wise. I wonder how she fights…. I showed her the way to a ramen stand and she picked out flavours for everyone, miso. She also asked if she could take some money and get everyone something special. I nodded and handed her some money. I wonder what she was getting? She told me to stay put and I did. She was gone for several minutes and she arrived when Temari and Kankuro came. “Hey everyone! Is the ship ready?” Aisu asked. Temari nodded and we followed them to a medium sized ship.

 

Aisu’s POV

Dinner came along and everyone ate ramen. Once everyone had finished, I took out the bag behind my back. “Hope you’re not full yet!” I said as I handed everyone something in the bag. Kankuro had a chocolate, chocolate chip cookie in the shape of a cat’s head. Temari was a purple sugar cookie in the shape of an opened fan, and Gaara’s was a chocolate chip cookie in the shape of a gourd. “They’re chakra cookies. When I bought them I put some of my chakra in it, it’s like a food pill, but better tasting!” I added. They all thanked me with wide eyes.

Everyone was now asleep, and I walked out of Temari’s and my room and headed towards the top deck where Gaara was. “Sup Gaara?” I said as I sat next to him. “You can sleep now, I’ll make sure you’re okay.” I added. Gaara nodded slowly and closed his eyes. After a few moments his eyes opened up as Shukaku’s eyes. “Ai-Aisu senpai!” He said. He got into a bowing position. “Long time no see One! Anyways, I want you tell enlighten me in what’s happened since I fell asleep, or would you like to hear the story first?” I asked. Gaara put his head up and asked to hear my story. I smirked and began to tell it as a flashback of the time came into my mind. “It was the battle of Madara and Hashirama. I was asked by what I found out was the second Hokage, Tobirama, to make sure that Madara didn’t summon the eleven and twelve tails. I had to watch two of my best friends fight. It turned out that Madara summoned Nine, Eleven, and Twelve. He lost control of Eleven and Twelve almost immediately, and as such I came in….”
