Hades had stepped down from his throne. Leaving his only son Deo to take his place. But with the responsibility of being made king of the underworld came the social responsibility of choosing a queen. Hera wouldn't allow Deo to wait as long as his father had before him. So she insisted he hold a grand ball for him to choose a queen. He invited all the gods and goddesses, major and minor, as well as their children. This was a big opportunity after all. The underworld was quite a powerful place to have rule over after all.
Apollo had been convinced by his stepmother to let his son go though he was nervous about it.
Hayden would be introduced into the party escorted by his father to see Deo sitting on his throne looking as stoic as his father beside him. Cerberus in his smaller form sat on deos other side proudly.
