I'm running down the streets as fast as I can! If I don't get on that bus on time Sara is going to kill me. And I really don't want to die today. Sara is my boss and I've worked as her assistant for 2 years now. And believe it or not, I actually love my job.
I get in the bus right before the door closes and I breathe heavily. An older man looks funny at me but I smile awkwardly and find a seat. I sit right next to an older lady. She smells like English tea and wears the sweetest gloves. She's wearing a nice white jacket with a touch of a warm yellow and her hat is matching. She's holding her bag close to her chest and she's smiling out the window. I wonder if she's happy? If she has achieved everything she wished for in life?

"So how was your morning so far?"

I gasp and instantly blush. I completely forgot that I was glaring at her this entire time.
"I- very stressful morning, actually."

I look down at my hands and my face is burning red.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to stare at you like that, miss?" I look up at her nervously
"Wohde. Elise Wohde. Nice to meet you."

She gives my hand a little squeeze. She's weak. I can tell. But she smiles so big! She reminds me of my late grandmother.
"Don't worry child, I can tell that you don't mean any harm."

A big smile appears on my face and we start to talk for a long time. Elise is from England. She moved to Hollywood to pursue her dreams. She wanted to be an actress and that's how she met her husband. Her husband was a cameraman at the studio she worked for and they instantly fell in love. I wonder if I will ever fall in love? Or at least in a romantic way like she did.
"Next stop..." I gasp and look outside. I quickly press the stop button and smile at Elise. She looks at me with so much peace.

"Elise, you're such a nice person! I loved meeting you..." A sad expression appears in my face.
"You know what? Come to my club for tea, dear. It's the club near the spring falls lake. I hear the waiters are quite charming." She winks and holds my hand.
"Of course! I would love to!" I catch myself being loud with excitement. She laughs at me and nods "Lovely meeting you, love."

I shake her hand gently and sprout out of the buss. The warm summer wind gently touches my cheeks and blows through my dress. Ahh, summer... I pause for a moment and start smiling. I've missed the sun and the fresh air. It was raining last night. I fell asleep to the sound of rain drops outside my window. I catch myself zoning.
Shoot. Sara! I run across the street and jump over the water puddle. The streets are busy. Always so busy. Everyone is always in a big hurry. I bump into a man's bag and yell an apology but he didn't seem to care. I couldn't help but laugh. Silly. I smile big and couldn't but smile to everyone in my way. "Good morning" the newspaper man looks irritated at me. "Why are you always so happy at this time of the day." He grunts. "Thanks mr. Taylor"
I grab the newspaper out of his hands and throw the dollar up in the air. I follow the bill slowly falling on his desk and smile. "Stupid kids." I hear him say but ignore it and a big smirk appears on my face.

I walk away fast knowing I'm late. I read the news on the front. "Canadian airline facing mayor fraud ca..."As I go around the corner my face meets a big box.
Without knowing I fall back and hit the ground.
BANG...
