Get ready for this one folks!

In this new book (the first one I've started as an adult), I am going to try something different. Yes, I'm sticking with the werewolf genre. I've attempted to dabble with other genres (none that have come to light...yet), but this world always draws me back in.

Like I said, however, I'm going to try something different. By different, what I mean is I'm going to try to crush all those pesky, werewolf clichés that I'm tired of reading about.

There are no packs. No silver bullets. No lunas (because that's a fictional title that regresses female empowerment anyway - I could rant about that all day). No alphas. No mate bond or a male seeing a girl and automatically saying "mate" as if that the most mind-blowing revelation ever.

Don't get me wrong. This is a romance story of sorts, but like I've tried to do with my last book, Her Daughter, I'm going to try to illuminate what real relationships are like. There will be no "head-over-heels-falling-in-love" romance here, but no promises that you won't fall in love with the characters I've created.

Let me tell you, there are some good ones in here. Are they traditional? Hell no. Are the unique and authentic. You bet your ass they are.

Enough of this overconfident babbling. I think I've psyched myself up enough.

Just be warned:

This book includes mature themes, harsh language, and possible sexual content.

I'll also probably be offending some people on here, but what I've learned through my years of writing is this:

You don't write to please everyone. If you're offending someone then maybe what you wrote actually made them feel something. Remember - anger is a feeling.

And as always:

If you have any questions or comments about my work, feel free to leave them. I read every single one and even respond to to them sometimes. I love a good, engaging discussion.

Enjoy!

P.S. Shout out to my howrse friend, taz, for this incredible cover. She's a fantastic graphics artist.
