Talon pulled back immediately and looked at me with wide eyes. I instantly froze and waited for him to shout at me or say something rude. When he didn't, I opened my mouth to say something to explain the kiss. It was just a moment of weakness. I wasn't thinking. My emotions were all over the place.
Before I could say anything, however, he took my face between his palms and brought his lips back to mine. My eyes fluttered closed and I kissed him back.
The kiss filled me with heat as his lips molded against mine as one hand tangled in my hair and the other slipped down to the side of my neck. I don't know why, but because Talon didn't date much, I didn't really expect him to be a good kisser. I was glad that I was being proven wrong.
He pressed closer to me and I leaned back on the counter, but both my hands fisted the front of his T-shirt. I could feel his waist press between my legs and the heat turned to a burn between my thighs. My senses were overwhelmed by his masculine scent and I found myself letting out a small sigh.
I felt Talon's hands move down my neck, over my chest and down my hips. After a moment, I jerked back with a hiss of pain as his hand bumped against the bandage over my fresh stitches. Talon's eyes widened as he put space between us. Somehow the act of him moving away stung more than my side.
"Shit," he cursed under his breath. Both of our chests were heaving as we took a moment to catch our breaths. Talon shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. "We can't... we can't do this," he said as he began backing towards the door of the bathroom.
"Talon," I murmured and his eyes met mine for a brief moment before he looked away again. "Talon, please."
He turned and walked into the bedroom. Quickly, I slid off the counter without bothering to grab my shirt and followed after him. He was headed toward the door and I dashed in front of him just before he could reach the handle, ignoring the slight pain from the sudden movement. I pressed my back against the door and stood in front of the lycan before me.
"Do you have a death wish?" he ground out with a heated glare.
"Don't be a drama queen. You're not going to kill me by having sex with me," I said, crossing my arms over my chest. The action only served to accentuate my chest and the corner of my mouth hitched into a smirk when his eyes flickered to my chest.
It took him a moment to snap out of it, but when he did, Talon stepped back to put more distance between us. "I just put stitches in you, Shaw," he said. "Plus, I don't exactly have the necessary equipment for that." My eyes moved down to his bulging crotch in confusion. "I meant condoms," he said quickly.
"You're telling me in a house of four grown men, there's not one condom?"
Talon rolled his eyes. "We don't bring girls here so we typically keep them in our car. They're gone for the night with their cars. And as difficult as it is to believe, I don't keep a stockpile on hand."
It honestly wasn't that difficult to believe at all. If Talon had been laid any time recently, he probably wouldn't be as much of an asshole as he was. "I mean, I'm clean. As long as you are, I don't see what's stopping this."
"You know what happens if you get pregnant."
I gave him a strange look. "And you know birth control prevents pregnancy?"
