#UYLChapter2
**
"My sweetheart." Sabi ni Dad as I make my way to hug him.
"Missed you dad, two weeks din tayong hindi nagkita." I say.
"Oo nga eh. We have so much to talk about." He smiled as I pulled way.
"I know, hence why you made me come here. What is it about, Dad?" I ask as I plop down on his couch. Malaki ang office niya, mas malaki pa sa dorm ko. Punong puno ito ng mga figurines of his achievements as a chairman of the corporation. There are also pictures of all the Turner car models na nakasabit sa walls, then pictures of him and I on his desk of course.
"I've ran through your academic credentials and I must say that I am proud because you're doing really good with your studies. I talked to your university about it and fixed some things, so I just wanna tell you that you're finally going to get a paid internship at the Turner Corp." He says.
I gasp, "seriously, Dad??"
He smiled then nodded, "I think it's time for you to finally explore more in the field, have the experience, and earn. It'll help you big time on boosting your career and skills."
My face lit up with happiness, "this is great news, Dad! Thank you." I hugged him again. The best talaga siya sa balat ng lupa.
"Of course." He rubs my back as a sign of support.
"Tell me, when do I start?" I asked excitedly. Natawa naman siya kasi ang giddy ng pagkatanong ko.
"You'll be starting Monday next next week. Since you're studying, you'll just have to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week."
"Noted."
"Are you excited?" He asks.
"Hindi pa ba halata, dad?" Biro ko at tumawa siya.
"Just know that your tita Julia is soon stepping down from her CEO position, and as planned, you're going to take her place as the Chief Executive Officer of Turner Corp." I nodded, "in that time, you'll be one of the youngest entrepreneurs in your generation and the youngest chief officer in this corporation."
"Yes, dad." I smiled.
"But for now, I'd like to tell you that there's someone who's going to take that place. The youngest chief officer I mean." He stated.
"Oh?" I questioned.
He nods, may kinuha siyang file from his desk cabinet and gave it to me. "one of our shareholder's family friend's son is a highly intelligent young businessman. He's from one of the wealthiest families in the Philippines. You can find his full details there."
I scanned through his background information. So he graduated from La Salle as a Bachelor of Business Administration magna cum laude then acquired master's degree in Business Ad in Germany. He did all of that and he's only 26 years old! Can you believe this?
Napanganga talaga ako sa nabasa ko. Wow. Sana all.
"Since we need someone very smart and prosperous like him as one of us, I offered him the position of being the COO of TCorp. Fortunately, he accepted the position and now part of our team."
"Congratulations, dad." Bati ko.
"Thanks, sweetheart." He said, "but of course, he's new to the team, you're new to the team. You need help while doing your internship since you cannot do it alone, that's why I've assigned him to help you. I think it's also a good way to welcome him to the team and at the same time learn new things."
