It had been a full three months after Kirishima and Bakugou made their announcement and for the most part everyone at school seemed to have gotten over it. Their parents where all happy for them and said they'd support whatever decision they made. Now all that was left was the council meeting with Principal Nezu.
Kirishima and Bakugou where asked to attend due to the press's involvement, and where told they didnt have to if they didn't want to. Kirishima said they'd be there but not to plead their case, both Bakugou and him agreed that their relationship would stand against anything anyone had to say about it.
Mr. Aizawa would also be in attendance as well as Present Mic, and All Might. They all assured them that if they started to feel uncomfortable they could leave at any time.
So that morning, Kirishima was standing in the mirror fixing his tie, as he looked down at the suit Bakugou had gotten him he felt flattered. It was a deep wine red with a black silk vest that fit him perfectly. His shoes where black polished leather and scuff free, who new Bakugou was so good at fashion.
As he exited his room he was met by an exceptionally polished Bakugou, no tie of course it was like he was afraid to wear one. Bakugou's suit was satin black with brilliant red pin striping on the jacket. Where as Kirishima had left his hair down for this meeting Bakugou's was its usual blonde mess.
"Are we ready?" Bakugou asked holding out his hand.
"As I'll ever be." Kirishima smiled and took it without hesitation.
"You know this is stupid right." Bakugou huffed.
"Oh well, hey I tell you what if we can make it through this ill make us dinner and we can try that upside down trick you wanted to try." Kirishima said trying to hide his smile at the sudden lustful spark in Bakugou's eyes.
"Oh your on my dear Kiri." Bakugou smiled knowingly.
"There you are, and no tie as figured." Mr.Aizawa's voice startled them a bit.
"Why do I have to wear a stupid neck noose anyway, they're no good for anything." Bakugou grumbled.
"I thought you'd say something like that so here," Aizawa handed him a red clip on bow tie, "Wear this and afterwards you can trow it away, blow it up whatever you want just let's get this over with already."
"Yes sir, Mr.Aizawa." Kirishima answered.
" Ugh, stupid things." Bakugou grumbled, fumbling with the bow tie.
"Here let me." Kirishima took it and pinned it in place, and with a quick kiss they where off.
The meeting drug on for what seemed like forever, reporters asked tons of questions like how did the other students feel, how did the staff handle the negative outbursts, ect. Between the teachers and Principal Nezu, Kirishima and Bakugou never even had to open their mouths. Then twords the end the other proverbial shoe didn't so much drop but was hurled at their heads.
"Excuse me, I have a direct question for the students." One of the reporters, a smug looking prick, spoke up.
"Yes." Kirishima replied politely.
"Here's my question, how do two feel about the corruption of our youth that you have caused, how many children do you estimate will be confused by two men kissing on TV screens and be negatively affected because their supposed heroes are two men who enjoy fucking one another up the ass." He smiled as everyone around looked appalled.
"Sir, your question is way out of line, we are here to discuss with the council about their graduation and nothing more." Principal Nezu said.
"Sir with all due respect..." the reporter started.
"Negatively affected?" Bakugou spoke suddenly, "The only negative things kids learn is prejudice and hatred from adults like you that are so stuck up their own ass that when something doesn't align with what you think is right you have to destroy it, well listen up I'll say it again Kiri is mine and nobody not even a parasite like you will change that."
"So you're saying that if it came down to it you'd give up your dreams of being a hero for another man?" The reporter glared.
"ENOUGH!!!" Mr.Aizawa spoke up suddenly, "I will now ask you to leave you are causing a disturbance and if you won't leave on your own you will be made to leave."
"But..." he started
"NOW!" Mr.Aizawa's voice was loud and left no room for argument.
After the room had calmed down again it was time for the committee to deliberate and Kirishima and Bakugou where sent on their way.
A few hours later Mr.Aizawa and Present Mic showed up to deliver the news.
"What, a suspension?" Bakugou yelled.
"A temporary suspension, this is a test to see if you two can handle not being constantly near each other in case your jobs have you split up for assignments, it will also help prove that you both can be objective like pro heroes have to be." Mr.Aizawa said looking exasperated.
"Thats totally unfair." Mina said looking upset.
"Yeah those two have done so much, the helped with the league of villains, and Kirishima was there to help stop Overhaul and rescue Eri." Midoriya spoke up.
"I understand that you're all upset and I don't know what to say to make it better but if we have any chance of showing the committee you both can do this then we have to follow their rules." Aizawa said.
"And what are their rules?" Kirishima asked.
"Starting tomorrow morning you two will be separated from each other for three months, no visual or verbal communication. That means no, texting, calling, emails, no visits, nothing for twelve weeks. To insure this Kirishima will be moved to the teachers dorm so that you can still get your lessons and at the end of this trial if you still want to be with each other the committee has agreed that you can return to normal classes, graduate, and become fulltime heroes." Mr.Aizawa looked sad "I'm sorry this was the best we could do."
"What happens if we fail?" Kirishima asked nervously.
"You will both be expelled and whatever licensing you have will be terminated." Aizawa's voice was brisk.
Kirishima felt like he'd been punched in the gut and all of a sudden his eyes couldn't focus. Bakugou, his world, his everything, could possibly loose everything he had worked so hard for. He couldn't breath, his vision started turning black and a searing pain lit through his chest as his lungs screamed for oxygen. The last thing he heard was Bakugou's distraught voice scream out as his knees buckled and he started to fall.
"KIRI!!!!"
