One Shot to Shine

Chapter 11

Bakugou hit the ground with his fists till his knuckleswhere bruised and bloody, he was right there, he saw them take his Kiri and he wasn't fast enough to stop them. Tears threatened to spill from his eyes, whoever had him was going to pay dearly.
The official damage count was seventy sudents had been injured weither through fighting or the initial explosion and three where taken or missing. Bakugou and Aizawa had found Eri hiding in her room, and Bakugou nearly broke down again as they pulled her out of the hoodie he'd slipped into Kirishima's stuff. Eri told them that Kirishima had gave it to her to protect her from the bad guys, she cried and told them that he'd promised to come back for it.
"He'll be back to get it I promise I'll bring him back." Bakugou knelt down in front her and vowed to them both.
She threw her arms around him and cried hard into his shoulder. He looked at Aizawa, determination and defiance shining brightly in his eyes. He would bring Kiri back and Hell save those who try to stop him.
The next morning after everyone was rounded up the total missing people came down to two. Kirishima and one other, a transfer student Bakugou immediately recognized.
"That's one of the bastard that took Kirishima!" Bakugou yelled.
"What! Young Bakugou are you sure?" All Might asked almost in a panic.
"Damn straight, that bastard was there he had Kiri tossed over his shoulder and some chick started spewing smoke...and.... and I wasn't fast enough." Bakugou's rage started to consume him.
"Nobody is blaming you Bakugou, we will get him back, what do we know about this young man?" Principal Nezu asked.
Turned out the transcripts had been fakes and the authorization signature was forged. All they had was his quirk, he could control the air that surrounded his body, or someone else's but he could only use it on one person at a time.
Aizawa pulled Bakugou to the side after the meeting was finished.
Principal Nezu and All Might will bring up the idea of you helping in the search for Kirishima but don't get your hopes up." He said sternly, "And if they say you can't go you will not go off alone do you understand."
When Bakugou didn't answer Aizawa stopped to look at him. "I understand how you feel but we will restrain you if necessary, I'm not saying that to hurt you but if it keeps you, as my student, safe I have no issues doing it."
"Yeah, whatever." Bakugou said, his emotions betraying him as his anger spiked again.
Bakugou stormed his way back to the dorms, feeling more and more pissed with each step. He kept playing the vision of a helpless Kirishima in another mans arms in his mind, again and again. By the time he reached Kirishima's room he was shaking, he crawled up into the bed hoping to find some peace within the Kiri scented sheets.
He must of laid there for hours before he finally had to do something. He walked aimlessly through the halls until he decided to follow the advice he had given Kirishima. Talking was one of the things he had never been good at but he was out of ideas.
He found himself in front of the door he least expected to be. As he knocked he had second thoughts but before he could change his mind the door opened.
"Kacchan!!" Came a frightened squeak.
"Shut up Deku, I need someone to talk to." Bakugou grumbled then signed.
"Oh, uh.. ok come on in." Deku opened the door and Bakugou walked into dweeb central.
Bakugou sat there for a while before he finally broke, he told Midoriya how he had been right there, how he felt so useless for not getting there quicker, and mostly how he felt responsible if he and Kirishima had never gotten together then he never would have been moved to the teachers dorms.
Midoriya reminded him that Kirishima had been protecting Eri if he hadn't been moved there and these monsters would have probably gotten her instead. He also reminded him that Kirishima wanted their relationship just as much and him staying there was a testament to how much Bakugou really meant to him.
After he left Midoriya's room he felt a bit better so he walked downstairs to shower. When he got there Iida told him not to worry he'd have the bathroom to himself. After he stood underneath the water for a while he couldn't hold back and longer. He sank to the floor tears rushing down his cheeks, and painfully sobs tore through his body shaking him to his core.
He sat there and cried till the water turned cold and he was forced to get out. He made his way back to the room as night began to creep into the sky. He sat on the edge of the bed and checked his phone. He had a message from Aizawa, they would have the committee's answer tomorrow morning if Bakugou was allowed to help in the search or not. He huffed and flopped backwards, he tried but sleep was slow coming and when he finally did manage it his dreams where clouded by images of Kirishima being tortured by his captors.
Morning came and Bakugou slugged his way to the meeting room where they awaited the final verdict. Bakugou was told he was to keep his mouth shut and wait patiently but the more they droned on about the still heated debate about their relationship the harder it became to stay silent.
If it hadn't been for them Kiri would never have been over there all alone, but no because they where afraid of what his and Kirishima's relationship could mean. They caused this, it was their fault, Bakugou's anger was at it boiling point.
"Bakugou!" Mr.Aizawa's voice cut through his rampant thoughts.
"Yeah?" He answered the anger showing in his voice
"Young man, because of these horrendous events have transpired while you and young Kirishima were going through the program that we had proposed it seems only fitting that you be allowed to help with his immediate rescue. The committee leader said, "Also at the safe return of young Kirishima your suspension will be immediately terminated, and you will both graduate with full hero licenses."
Bakugou couldn't believe his ears, finally a flash of hope. And he was going to grab ahold of it with both hands, and refused to let go till it was Kirishima that he was holding again. He thanked the committee and with that the search for Kirishima began.
