I knew I couldn't keep going down there, it would raise too much suspicion, and as much as I loved Eren and Armin I just liked talking to Annie more. She sees things that no one else does, and unlike most, isn't afraid to speak her mind to me.

So, I had made up my mind, to get her out of there. Of course there was no promise, that she wouldn't go and try to tear down wall Sina again, but if it came down to it we could stop her again. And I'd be most likely to be executed for commuting such an act.

It was in the early hours of the morning, around 2 or 3, when there was a knock at my bedroom door. The only person I could think of to be knocking at this hour, would be Eren, he sometimes had reoccurring dreams about his Carla's death. And he'd come to me, and for the most part, just cry.

So I got up, and pulled a shirt over my head, that went down to my thighs, and went to the door. When I opened it, I found inatead, a hooded figure. Generally feminine in shape, but I couldn't make out any facial features, the light outside my door was too dim.

"Well Ackerman?" Annie's voice came from under the hood.

"Annie!?"I almost yelled out loud, but put a hand over my mouth. "What are you doing?" I pulled her into my room, and shut the door. "You could have been caught! What if someone saw you?"

"If they did, they won't remember it when they wake up tomorrow" She throws her hood off. "Quit your worrying Ackerman, you were never one to whine, so don't start"

I sigh, she's right. I was getting overly worked up about this. I mean, hadn't I been planning on doing the same? "So how did you get out?"

"Well, the guards make it pretty easy, when they slack off, and leave half way through their shift" She sits on my bed, as if she's perfectly at home in my room.

"And what about the night time patrol?"

"I timed it after he made his last round, next I waltzed out the doors, and through the street right to your room. Happy Ackerman?"

"For the most part." I shrug and sit next to her. "So, are you going to go back before someone finds out your gone? Or will alarm be raised before daybreak?"

She paused to think for a moment. "I'll go back, I don't have a plan yet to go elsewhere, and I'll just be found again so I might as well stay put." She smirked. "And here I though you would have loved the suprised visit"

"It's a nice suprise, I just wish I would have known you were going to do something like this." I ran a hand through my hair.

"Well, it's not like I could have shot a signal flare to let you know." She looked me over. "Nice pajamas by the way"
