I Hate to Love You

Chapter 4

We met a few more times like this, and it was almost like I was back in training again. Sometimes we talked, sometimes we just sat there. Though they seemed a bit different, we'll other than current situation-wise, anyway, I couldn't quite name it.

We had been sitting together, and talking one night, when there was a knock on my door.

"Hey Mika who are you..."Eren knocks, and opens the door. "...."

There was a moment of silence, as the three of us looked at eachother, it was tense, and I started to panic.

"Mikasa get back!" Eren orders, like I'm some little daisy on the battlefield.

"No." I look at him.

"Mika nows not the time for this!" Eren grabs my wrist in an attempt to pull me back behind him.

"Oh shut up Eren, I think I can handle myself." I snatch my wrist back from his grip, and push him away from me.

"What the hell Mika! She's the enemy here not me!" Eren growls angrily.

"Really because you're the only one being an *ss." I shut the door. "Now be quiet or I'll knock your *ss out."

He looks at me in disbelief, then glares at Annie. "What the hell did you do to Mikasa?"

"I didn't do anything lover-boy" She looks at him with the same vacant expression she gives everyone.

"Don't lie Leonhardt!" Eren takes a step toward her.

"What did I tell you about being quiet?" I sweep his feet out from underneath him, so he falls on his back. "And she's not lying Eren."

"No, Mika she did something to you, you'd never do sh*t like this." He looks up at me from the floor.

"And what do you know about me Eren? You're so damn focused on, killing all the titans, and kissing ass to Levi that I didn't think you had room in that big head of yours to even think about me." I roll my eyes, and. Look down at him.

"What are you talking about Mika, I love you, now snap out of it." He stands.

"Point proven." I smile. "Even to you I'm just too perfect of a soldier to ever defy orders, or commit treason."

"Mika..."

"No, just shut up Eren." I growl, already done with his whining. "Annie is...my friend, we've been talking for weeks"

"So...you've known she could. Come out of stasis at anytime and kill innocent people...for weeks..." He looks at me in disbelief again.

"Well she hasn't, and there's been no indication that she'd attempt it so I didn't find it important to bring up over breakfast no."

"But she-"

"Yes she could" I interrupt. "But do you really think that I'm so stupid I wouldn't say something if I felt she was begining to be a threat again?"

"What has she done to you? Seriously. What have you guys been doing when you get together?"

"We talk sometimes, or just sit around." I shrug. "We just like being i just like being around her, she's better company than you most days."

"I see" He says after a moment, then he turns and leaves without a word.

"Shouldn't you go after him?" Annie looks at me.

"No, I don't think he's a threat to us being like this." I watch him go, then shut the door.

"Us?"
