"Where do you think you're going?" A voice asked making me stop in my tracks and turned to see Sage standing in the doorway to the kitchen with arms crossed. I followed Lucas to the yard where he joined Bennett and Dimitri with his son and newborn daughter before turning back to Sage.

"Nowhere," I replied and he rolled his eyes pushing away from the door frame and walking towards me making me stumble backward against the island

"Listen carefully, Caleb, get near Lucas and his children and you'll be sorry" he sneered

"Why are you and the rest of the pack so blind? He and his ba-" I felt my head snap to the side as Sage punched me on the jaw before he was grabbing me by the collar of my shirt bringing his face towards mine

"Call Lucas or the kids' names and I promise you that I won't be the one to punch you the next time too decide to badmouth them," he stated before adding, "and Lucas and his children had nothing to do with last week's rogue attack. You better realize that rogue attacks are common among those who are power-hungry. Believe me when I say this, if I had a chance to get rid of you, I would have done it a long time ago or let rogues kill you but your family don't deserve to go through that pain"

He let me go before turning on his heels and walking away leaving me to cup my bloody lip and a sore jaw. I clenched my fist at my side as I looked out the window and caught Lucas looking this way before his eyes darted away.

The last time we had a rougher attack was nearly a year ago and all of a sudden the moment Lucas crosses onto King Pack lands, we have an attack.

>this was the first time we were ever involved in a rogue attack, Caleb, which means that there have been attacks going on far before now. The alphas wouldn't have allowed children under the age of 16 to be involved in the fights< Rexx stated and I clenched my jaw

>I was old enough to be involved in those fights but mom and dad would never allow it< I replied

>Lucas and his children were not involved in this attack, Caleb, so stop putting the blame on them< he replied and I rolled my eyes

>You should be on my side wanting to destroy him and get him to leave the pack not be on his side and defending him< I growled and he rolled his eyes shaking his head

>Just because I'm your wolf doesn't mean that I'm going to watch you game someone who's done nothing you for you to treat him like dirt. And until you start treating him the way you treat his parents and grandparents, I will never be on your side. Don't wait for me to fall to your level because that will never happen< he replied before closing the link between us and leaving me to glare at the kitchen floor.

Even my goddam wolf was against but that didn't mean that I was going to stop harassing and treating Lucas like he's nothing.

"So what are you planning now, Caleb?" Liam asked walking into the kitchen with David in tow and I looked out the window and flared at Lucas who was laughing with the alphas. He shouldn't be there and pretending as nothing happened. The attack was because of him and his children. I nearly lost another sibling because of him. I'll be damned if he thinks this life was going to be rainbows and roses.

"Corner him and threaten to kill him and his bastard children if he doesn't leave, "I replied and smirked turning to look at my friends who for the first since we made this deal looked shocked at my words, "he should've been killed long ago when he first crossed the border onto our lands"

"Don't you think threatening him and his children with death are going a little too far, Caleb?" David asked glancing at the male outside the window, "I'm not going to do that. I may have agreed to make his life a living hell but threatening to kill him and his children are going to far and I'm not going to do that," he shook his head before walking away leaving Liam and I behind and I raised a brow at my friend who shook his head

"You're on your own in this one dude. I may not be fond of the rogue but I'm not sick enough to threaten him and his children with death, Caleb," and then walked away leaving me alone clenching my jaw.

The following weeks went by in a blur and before I knew it I was standing in the middle of the yard throwing a football back and forth between my brothers when suddenly I heard a loud howl from the woods and the pack's omega, Sonia, who was in charge of the orphaned pups yelled Aiden's name. I looked towards the woods when the sound of a twig snapped but before I could go there Alex turned me away and pushed me towards the house

"Get to the safe room Caleb," but before I could argue he was running towards the woods as the sound of Alpha Dimitri helping the little boy's name. I looked all around me and saw most of the women running towards the safe room with Lucas and Dimitri leading them all inside.

"AIDEN!" Dimitri yelled, "COME ON PUP' WHERE ARE YOU!?"

Then he was bottling towards the woods while I stayed in the yard watching as my parents, and siblings ran towards the sound of more growling

>CALEB. SAFE ROOM NOW!< my father's voice growled in my head but I felt my body freeze as my eyes widened into saucers when a rogue jumped through the woods and ran towards me.

>MOVE YOU FUCKING IDIOT!< Rexx smirked in my head but it was as if my feet were cemented on the ground and closed my eyes as the rogue neared but snapped my eyes open when the pain never came and instead found myself staring at a beautiful wolf tackling the rogue down a few feet away from me >GO TO THE SAFE ROOM WHILE THE ROGUE IS DISTRACTED< I swallowed the knot in my throat and willed my feet to obey by turning and running towards the house and down to the safe room.

"Where the hell were you?" Liam asked when I joined him, and the others in a corner in the safe room

"And why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" Damon asked

"I was in the yard when the rogues started attacking" I replied and they nodded not asking anything else as we sat in the room waiting for any news.

I don't know how long we stayed silent until we heard the cries of three babies down the hall and we exchanged confused glances. We looked towards the hall just as the doors to the safe room opened and the former Alphas, Xavier and Elizabeth, stood in the entrance

"It's safe for everyone to leave," Xavier said as he and his wife walked towards the other side of the room where Lucas and his children were sitting with Morgan and a small boy who had been brought in by Morgan, Bennett's dad.

"How is he?" I heard Elizabeth ask

"He's good. The doctor was able to stabilize him and fix his wounds as soon as I brought him. His wounds will be healed in a few weeks give or take," Morgan answered and the pair nodded

"Isabel is currently napping over there with Princeton," Lucas said and they nodded again, "Mama had the triplets already and I think it is best if he and the babies are taken to the infirmary" the former alpha looked at Lucas in surprise at the news and I couldn't really blame them seeing as Alpha Bennett wasn't due for another week.

"You're right about that, come on then, let's go help the doctor take Bennett and the babies to the infirmary to be better-taken care of. I'm sure Dimitri will be happy to see them and know that they're okay"

We all piled out of the safe room and went out separate ways while Lucas and his children followed his grandparents and Bennett down the hall with the little boy, Aiden, and towards the infirmary.

And this was another reason why Lucas and his children should not be here. We've had way to many rogue attacks since he showed up and I'll be damned if they continue. I clenched my jaw as I began forming a plan on how to get rid of them before we lose anyone due to the rogues.

You'll be gone sooner or later, Lucas, I swear it.
