Chapter 1

Three months later...

It has been three months since I broke up with Arkin after I caught him cheating on me. Yet, it feels like it happened yesterday because the pain is still there.

After what happened, I kept myself busy to my business to somehow forget what he did. Ngunit, minsan ay di ko namamalayan ang sarili ko na natutulala at naiisip ang pinagsamahan naming dalawa.

Hindi madaling kalimutan ang relasyon na mayroon kami. Dahil simula noong 1st Year College kami, siya na ang kasa kasama ko.

Magkasama namin binuo ang mga pangarap namin para sa isa't isa. Mula sa pangarap naming magkasamang makapagtapos ng kolehiyo, siya na makahanap ng magandang trabaho, ako na nangangarap na magkaroon ng sarili kong coffee shop, at syempre, pati ang pag buo ng sarili naming pamilya.

Ngunit, sa isang iglap lahat ng mga pangarap na magkasama naming binuo ay nawala na lang.

A call made me wake up to reality.

Mom calling...

I saw from my phone screen that it was my mom calling. I was thinking if I should take her call because I know that she will be asking me nonstop if I am okay. And, I also know na kukulitin niya ako na mag vacation para daw makapag pahinga ako.

After some time, I decided to answer her call because if I didn't, she will call me over and over again until I answer her call.

"Hello Mom" I said to her.

"Amanda baby, how are you? It is almost lunch time, did you eat already?"  she said to me with her sweet voice. I almost rolled my eyes with the Amanda baby. I am already 26 years old yet she is still calling me that. I can't help but to cringe.

"Mom, I'm fine but I am quite busy right now because of my newly opened branch in Laguna. And I almost forgot to take my lunch. Thanks for reminding me that, Mom."

"Hija, you shouldn't forget to take your lunch. Sabi ko naman sayo na mag pahinga ka rin minsan. You're too workaholic. You should really take my offer."

After hearing what my mom said, I can't help but to sigh. Her offer is that for me to take a vacation leave. After Arkin and I broke up, kinukulit niya na ako doon. Siguro napapansin niya na mas lalo kong ginagawang busy ang sarili ko sa business ko.

"Ma, you know that I can't leave my business here. I just opened a new branch in Laguna. And something bad might happened while I'm away."

"Amanda, we both know that there won't be any problem in your business while your on you are vacation. Everything will be fine, okay? Besides, you have a very hardworking and trustworthy employees." She said trying to convince me.

"But, Mom." I said trying to protest from what she said.

"No buts, Amanda Solasta." Oh no. This is not good. She called me with my full name. And she seems very serious with this.

"I already talked to your dad about this. And he agreed that you should really take a vacation. Please anak, take this vacation. You should really look at yourself, masyado ka nang busy sa trabaho mo. Take this vacation na. Please." She said every word seriously but when she said the word "Please."

After hearing what she said I can't help but to consider her offer. It's been a while since I last took a vacation and I need to take a break from everything. I feel so exhausted na rin from everything. And about my business, it seems like everything is fine and falling into their perfect places.

I sighed. "Okay, okay Ma. I am going to take a vacation. But for only two weeks okay? Hindi ko pwedeng iwan ng matagal yung coffee shop."

After hearing what I said, my mom suddenly squealed. "Oh hija, you will surely love your vacation! Your dad will be delighted when he hears this news. Oh, I can't wait!" She said excitedly and I can't help but to laugh at her. Mom is very childish sometimes but I love that side of her.

"Anyways, I have to go na hija. At sasabihin ko pa ito sa dad mo. Take your lunch na hija. Take care always. I love you, Amanda baby!"

"Yeah, Opo I will take care. I will just both visit you there at the house one of these days before I leave for my vacation. I love you, Ma!"

After ending the call, I can't help but to sigh. I hope that I made the right thing and also, I hope my vacation will be worth it and there won't be any problem.
