Chapter 4

It was already 4 pm when I woke up from my sleep. I decided to take a quick bath to freshen up myself. And when I finished everything, I decided to call my mom to inform her that I am already here. I took my phone from my handbag and dialed her number. After a few rings, she finally answered my call.

"Hey, Mom!" I greeted her.

"Oh hija, how's everything there?" 

"Everything's fine po. Mang Lito together with his son fetched me from the airport. Sorry, I forgot to call you po earlier. After I fixed my thing I immediately fell asleep kasi." I said to her with my apologetic tone.

"No worries, hija! Mang Lito already called me earlier, sinabing nakarating na nga kayo diyan. Anyways, I have to go already. Your dad is waiting for me. We're going to have a date tonight!" I heard my mom giggled after saying the last sentence.

"You guys are so cute. Tell dad that I love him. Enjoy po kayo sa date niyong dalawa. Love you!" I finally bid my goodbye to her and ended the call.

I put my phone at the back pocket of my shorts and started head out to go downstairs. Habang pababa sa hagdan ay narinig ko ang boses ni Mang Lito na may kausap na babae. When I finally reached the living room, and I saw a beautiful old lady. 

"Hello po, I'm Mandy! You must be Mang Lito's wife po." I smiled at the couple as I introduce myself to Mang Lito's wife.

"Magandang hapon, Mandy. Ako naman si Nanay Estrella. Kumusta ang byahe mo?" Nanay Estrella warmly smiled at me while she said those words.

"Everything is good po. Just a little bit tired pero naipahinga ko naman po yung sarili ko kanina." I told Nay Estrella.

"Ganoon ba. Oh siya, maiwanan muna kita rito at ihahanda ko lang ang ating hapunan. Magandang pumunta ka muna sa garden at siguradong magugustuhan mo ang mga tanim na halaman at mga bulaklak doon." Nanay Estrella told me and I just smiled at her as she went to kitchen.

I decided to go to the garden to entertain myself while waiting for the dinner time. When I finally reached the garden, I saw a lot a lot of different kind of plants there. As I roam my eyes around, some flowers caught my eye. I took some pictures of the flowers in front of me, and I decided to post it on my Instagram stories.

"Mandy!" I turned around and I saw Kaer waving his hand at him. 

I also waved at him and smiled. "Hey, what's up?" I asked him.

"Eto, kararating ko lang ngayon, inutusan kasi ako ni Mama na pumunta sa bayan." Tanong ni Kaer sa akin. 

We went to the bench and sat there. "What did you do there? Sana pala sumama ako para nakita ko yung bayan dito." I told him.

"Ah inutusan niya lang ako umorder ng suman latik sa kakilala namin. Gusto kasi nila Mama ipatikim sayo. Masarap 'yon!" 

"Oh I know suman latik! It has been a while since I last tasted it, I'm looking forward on eating suman latik again." I excitedly told him. 

"Baka pag natikman mo ulit yon ay 'di mo na tigilan ha!" Pabirong sabi ni Kaer.

We both laughed at what he said. "Why not? Malay mo sobrang magustuhan ko talaga." I said to him.

Kaer glanced at me and said "Anyway, how's your life in Manila?" 

"Well, I have a business there. A coffee shop." I told him.

"Wow, so you're a businesswoman. Sana mapuntahan ko 'yang coffee shop mo 'pag pumunta ako sa Manila." 

"Really? Just tell me when you're going to Manila, I will accompany you."
