Chapter Twenty-Four

It's been three days since I last saw or talked to Elijah. Dominic keeps me updated on him, but it doesn't feel the same without him here. Vincenzo's been staying with me and we've been having mind blowing sex all over the house. But I kept wishing that it was Elijah, not him. I decided to go see him today.

"I want to go see Elijah."

Vincenzo sighs and says, "He has the girl over there with him." My heart broke when he told me that, and I walked out of the house. I got into the car and I drove all the way to the other house. When I got there, everyone looked at me, and I saw Dominic coming my way.

"Where is he?"

He sighs and looks at me. "In his office."

"Is she with him?" He nods at me, and I waked to Elijah's office. I opened the door without knocking, and I looked at him.

He looked up. "Took you long enough to get here."

"Your friends have been lying to me. Otherwise I would have been here sooner." I looked at the girl before I walked over to his desk. "Would you like to talk or should I just kick your ass?"

He laughs and says, "You can't hurt me, Melody."

"Oh, really." I walked over to him, and I grabbed his hair. I pulled on it, and I heard him groan.

Then I grabbed onto his penis. "Let go and I'll tell you everything."

"If this is the only way that I can get you to talk to me then too bad." I pulled harder on his hair. "Start talking."

He sighs, and I pulled harder on his hair. "I lied when I told you I'm sleeping with her."

"Why did you moan her name?"

I pulled his head back, so I can look at his face. "I was trying to get a reaction out of you."

"You probably think this is funny. But I don't."

He puts his hand over my hand that's on his penis. "Melody, I told you I'm yours. But you don't trust me."

"You've been acting weird and suspicious."

He laughs and says, "You ever thought maybe I was planning something special for us." I looked at him, and he smiled at me. "Can you please let go?" I let go of him, and he got up from his chair. He pulled me into his arms, and he kissed me. "You're the only woman that I want."

"You haven't been answering my calls or coming home. So, I thought you were."

He sighs and looks at me. "I wanted to do this the right way, but I can't wait anymore." He looked over at the girl, and she walked over to us. "Melody, this is Sarah. She owns a jewelry store. I was trying to get her opinion on an engagement ring."

She put her hand out, and I shook it as she says, "It's nice to meet you, Ms. Rose." I nod at her, and she let go of my hand.

Elijah took my hands. "The drive from here to her store is closer than it is from the house."

"Why haven't you been answering my calls?"

He sighs and says, "I have to buy a new phone. I threw the other one at the wall, when I couldn't find the perfect ring for you." Before I can say anything, he started pulling me out of his office with him. We walked into the foyer, and my jaw dropped. I saw all his men with enormous signs in their hands.

I looked at the first one and it says, "Will." The second one says, "You." The third and fourth says, "Marry Me?" I turned around, and I saw Elijah on one knee with a box in his hand. I looked up, and I saw Dominic, Vincenzo, Angelo, Liam and Faith looking at us.
