Kaliwa't kanang bulungan ang sumalubong sakin pag pasok ko ng classroom. Unang una na si Khelsy, ang bida bida kong kaklase since high school. Buong high school life ko ay binulabog ng inaamag n'yang ugali. Masyadong papansin.Hindi nga ako makapaniwala na magiging kaklase ko parin s'ya hanggang college.
"Look who's here? First day of class...ditcher." Sinabi n'ya yun sa pinakamalditang tunog habang nakapatong ang kanang siko n'ya sa kaliwang kamay at nakapilantik ang mga daliri. What a bitch.
Hindi ko s'ya pinansin at nagtuloy tuloy lang ako sa upuan ko. We are not high school for fuck sake. She should act like an adult now. What a brat.
"Hoy Chiara! Saan ka pumunta kahapon? Sa boyfriend mo?"
Inilapag ko sa upuan yung bag pack ko saka hinarap s'ya. Nakataas ang kilay nito habang tinitignan ako mula ulo hanggang paa. I just scoffed at her and look at my other blockmates.
"Nakita n'yo ba sila Magi?" I asked.
Sasagot na sana 'yung isang babae pero inunahan s'ya ni Khelsy
"Nasa cafeteria sila sa left wing."
I ignored her and face my other blockmates
"Nakita n'yo ba sila Magi?" I asked again at ibubuka palang ulit no'ng babae yung bibig n'ya ng sumingit nanaman si Khelsy.
"I said they're in cafeteria at left wing!" Nawawalan ng pasensya akong humawak sa bewang ko at hinarap s'ya.
"Will you shut up?"
"I'm just helping you find your friends here!"
"But I didn't ask you, didn't I?"
"I'm just helping!"
"But you're not. You're just being a attention seeker bitch."
I watched as how she was shocked on what I said and try to say something but she's just shocked to utter a word. Whispers and silent laughters filled the room. And before she could bitch back, I walked out of the room and went to the left wing where the second cafeteria is in.
As long as I entered caferia I saw my three friends on our usual spot. Eha and Magi are both laughing on what Kib's saying. I smiled on myself while watching them. It's just so peaceful to watch your friends being happy. And sad at the same time because you knew they can be happy without you.
"Omo si Chai! Chai come here!"
Suddenly, Kumaway sakin si Eha while smiling. Magi and Kib look at my direction and they both smile too and motioned me to come over. Lumakad ako palapit sakanila habang nakangiti. At nang makalapit na ako ay hinila agad ako ni Eha paupo sa tabi n'ya.
"Where have you been?" Tanong agad sakin ni Magi
"Oo nga bakla, saan ka pumunta kahapon?" Kib
"Na-missed mo tuloy yung mga profs natin." Eha said with a sad face
"Umuwe." I shrug
"Bakla, pumunta kami sa condo mo kahapon pero wala ka." Kib
"What happened? Saan ka natulog? Don't tell me you went on your parents house?" Magi
"No I didn't." Umiling ako
"So?" Inilapit pa ni Eha yung upuan n'ya sa mesa at ginaya rin s'ya no'ng dalawa. And then they lean in to me.
"I rent an apartment last night."
"Confirm! You're avoiding us."
Magi said while pointing her finger on me. I just smile awkwardly.
"Why did you do that?" Eha asked carefully. She's just so sweet and caring as always. I just bit my lip and didn't response.
