Chapter 22

Slowly the steel blue eyes open. for a moment she blinks to get used to the hospital. she looks back, she had thought that at least one of the girls, preferably Chloe, would sit by her bed. she goes with her hand to her stomach and then gently stands up. the pain is less than she thought. she slaps her legs over the bed and gets out of the bed. small steps she comes forward and walks to the door. when she wants to open the door, to her surprise it is closed. she knocks on the door.

"hello"? Chloe?"

no answer.

"Aubrey! Chloe! "Open the door, please?" This time louder. She'll hear voices. Unfortunately, not the voices she knows.

"Fuck" the door gets knocked down, there's two men and a woman in the opening, two look a little older than the other.

"All first. Hi, second, I'm not here to hurt you. Could you just tell me if you've seen anyone with red hair, red hair, very pretty?"

"What do you want?" starts the older stranger

"nothing, nothing at all I'm just looking for my friends and girlfriend and then I'm gone."

"and why do you think we don't kill you?"

"Um, I could always try, right?"

"That you don't want to kill us is quite a relief."

"I'm unarmed and wounded, would be handsome if I could."

the woman chuckles "you're right about that hobbit, what's your name?"

"Mitchell"

"cool, I'm Alex, this is Tobias and Christoff, no worry's we won't hurt you."

"whole relief, do you guys happen to know where a bunch of girls went?"

They're looking at each other. "No, the place was empty when we went in. Sorry, Mitchell."

"no problem, if you don't mind, I'm going to look for food because I think I haven't eaten for a couple of weeks" she carefully walks past the three of which she now knows the name.

"If I may ask, what were you doing locked in there?" Tobias asks.

"that's a long story."

"we don't have to go anywhere, just tell them while we eat," the four of them walk to the cafeteria to look for the last bit of food.

".... then I kissed her and everything turned white before my eyes, then I woke up and met you"

"damm girl, that's, uh, fierce and you're sure that one demon you mentioned is gone?" Christoff asks when he takes a bite of his sandwich...

"I guess so, otherwise they stabbed me for nothing."

Everyone's laughing. The rest of the group has joined to meet the newcomer.

"What are you going to do now Mitchell" asked Roni who's also in Alex's group.

Roni was also on Barden Uni, he was out walking when it happened, everyone he knew turned into killers, it seemed, he was just walking through the woods and roads, until this group found him, new round, new opportunities or in his case, new family...

"looking for her"

"isn't it wise to regain strength first, your wound still hasn't healed you know" Alex looks at her.

"That's the wisest thing" Beca nods and takes another bite of her Jelly.

"Tell me more about your girlfriend" asks Tobias who looks at her full of interest. Tobias is Alex's twin brother, inseparable.

A smile appears on Beca's face thinking of her Chloe.

"she's the most beautiful girl I've seen, and that smile, it's such an innocent smile and so great, but those eyes, I can drown in them, they're ocean blue and I can look at them for hours. she's so nice and sweet to everyone, but so innocent, what happened now has really touched her and I've never seen her hurt so much, hurt that I've hurt her and what's happening outside right now"

"Looks like you love her very much," says Alex laying a hand on her leg.

"You have no idea, that's why I have to find her."

"Have you looked in the garage yet?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well you said you had a motorcycle, maybe there's a motorcycle in the garage we can help you with some help that you survive outside these walls, I like you Mitchell, and that you let us live is already worth a thank you."

"thanks, as well as that killing, you guys are cool, and thanks for your help, I appreciate it."

"hey it's the end of the world, I'm not as fucked up as other people out there"

"that's why I'd rather be alone."

With a little help from the group Beca has a new set of clothes and her familiar black leather jacket, a helmet, a new machete, two guns, first aid kit, food and two jugs of petrol for on the road.

After a few days the wound is closed as good as good, but she has to be careful because it is still a sensitive place, she finally goes looking for her friends, thinking of reuniting with them forming a smile on her face.

She had a good time with the group, when this is all over soon she will definitely contact this group, she had promised Alex, Tobias and Christoff to let them meet Chloe.

She's learned a lot of new things that are sure to help you survive on your own.

Every night Beca sang a song behind the piano and everyone sang along merrily, or listened to her beautiful voice until she was finished.

"I can't thank you enough, you didn't have to do this."

"no problem, go get your girl"

"they give each other a short hug before Beca puts on her black helmet and gets on the black bike, with no idea yet which way she is going she stays still for the road.

Which way would they have gone? thinking hard and listening to her feelings she decides to go left on her bike with only one goal in her head
