"If I trained you to be able to use a quirk, would you take my offer?" Yosuke asks.
I just stand there stunned, exactly what does that mean? Does he have some sort of quirk to give people quirks? Even then, nobody should just be able to pass on quirks like some sort of disposable commodity. I mean I've heard rumours of someone like that but it's not written in any history books so I don't honestly know what to expect.
"Nerd, you're mumbling again" Kacchan interrupts, I guess I'm easily overcome with my thoughts to the point where I can't keep them as silent thoughts. It's been that way for about 8 years, ever since I started writing notes about heroes.
"O-oh, sorry Kacchan"
"Don't overthink my offer. You want to be a hero and you have the heart of a hero, nobody would save their childhood bully from a villain, at least not like it was second nature. Most would freeze and just stand watching someone suffer, that's the sad reality. I want to change that and I want you to help me change it. There's not many like you and I can help you achieve your dreams."
"I just want to know, do you think I can be a hero even without a quirk?" I've always been told that my dreams were pathetic or impossible. I just want to believe that I can become a hero who saves people with a smile on my face. Just like All Might, to stand in the same light as him, that's my biggest dream.
"I won't lie, I believe anyone can be a hero. Whether they have a quirk or not, but quirkless people will have the most difficult time being a hero. Simply because a lot of people have no faith in the quirkless, not me though. I know you can be a hero even without a quirk" after pondering over my choices for a good few minutes, I think I've decided.
"Alright, I'll do it" and I won't regret my choice.
"Are you sure Deku? How can you trust this guy?" Kacchan's speaking so softly and I can almost hear just how much he cares. At least, how much he says he cares.
"He believes in my dreams, more than anyone has before. I want nothing more than to help people as a hero"
"He's a vigilante. Deku, are you sure you want to be associated with them? I can help you in any way you want, but don't join them just so you can get into UA" that's a good point if I join them, I may be throwing my dream away before I've even had a chance at grasping it.
"You misunderstand my offer. I never once said I want you to join E.Q.U.A.L, I want you to help me and I will help you. Not once have I said anything about Izuku being a member of my organisation. I will train you so you can be an amazing hero, and with that I want you to help us achieve the equality we desire" what do they have to gain by training me? It seems suspicious to just offer something like this without much in return. Just helping promote equality, that's something I would do regardless of whether or not I'm associated with E.Q.U.A.L.
"I'll do it. I want the same thing, I want to save people with a smile on my face and I want to change how people see the quirkless. I'll take your offer"
"Excellent, now, go home and I'll contact you tomorrow morning"
"How will you do that, do you want my phone number"
"No need" that was cryptic.
And Yosuke took off, leaving a vague answer and two aspiring teens stood in the middle of the housing district. Me and Kacchan then decided that we would get into UA together. So I returned home where Mum was waiting for me, she saw the news about the sludge villain and I could see how worried she was. But she also saw Kacchan's speech on the news and contacted Auntie Mitsuki, yeah, Kacchan's mother and my mother were best friends. Still best friends, they do call each other and I know they see each other. I think with the constant bullying, they decided that it would be best to just not meet up at each others homes. Anyway, after an emotional evening, I go to bed completely exhausted and letting fatigue crash into me like a train.
Once I woke up, I received a message from an unknown number that I knew was Yosuke.

I don't know how he got my number but either way, it was the weekend so I had nothing else to do. I told my mother that I was headed off to the park, of course since she heard about the sludge villain incident from Kacchan's mother, she told me to stay safe. When I got there I was met with Yosuke and two unfamiliar faces. One of them being a light blue haired neko with a green jacket in similar style to Yosuke's.

And the other having a dark purple, almost black bob cut and a red blindfold. Also sporting a red and white short dress.

"You made it, I'm happy you took this offer"
"Who are these two?"
"Neko and Orchard, they are going to help train you. As you can see, this beach is full of garbage. For 8 years, this beach has accumulated pollution, turning a popular spot for couples and families into a trash heap." Hold on, that's my training. Whilst I'm all for helping the community, I don't know what this would be as far as training.
"Is my training about cleaning up the beach"
"Yes, but there's another reason behind this. You see, E.Q.U.A.L started out doing community service and saving those who needed help. Just to get the name out there but as we expanded, we started to take more measures into being vigilantes and started fighting villains and false heroes." Neko speaks, I think I saw articles about that when I was around 8/9. That was when E.Q.U.A.L was just a rumour at best, nobody had heard of them but the work they did was incredible. They cleaned up entire cities, donated a lot of money to homeless shelters and charities (that money being from the rich) and even stopped bank robberies.
"Okay b-but why are you three here together?"
"Well the beach is just training to build up your strength and stamina, the three of us will be teaching you how to fight so you'll be more equipped to face villains. If you were to only face one person in combat training, you would develop bad habits when fighting. So the three of us will be teaching you how to fight as we have rather different fighting styles." Orchard replies, now I get it, this is going to be intense.
"Are you ready Izuku Midoriya?" Yosuke looks almost angelic when he smiles. But I know there's some other reason he's smiling.
