hoofdstuk 6

-Ashley POV-

Ik loop terug naar de kleedkamer, maar zie niemand meer zitten. Ze zijn waarschijnlijk al naar de cafetaria. Ik loop de kamer weer uit en loop de cafetaria binnen waar ik inderdaad iedereen al aan een tafel zie zitten.

"Hi." zeg ik en ik ga naast Liam en Amy zitten.

Direct voel ik hoe Liam zijn hand op mijn bovenbeen legt en ik verstrengel mijn vingers met de zijne. Hij geeft me een licht kneepje en ik glimlach naar hem.

"Why did Isabella want to speak you?" vraagt Louis nieuwsgierig.

"Oh nothing special. She just gave me my handbag back." zeg ik snel. Als mijn ogen die van Lou kruisen, zie ik hoe ze me met een veelbetekenende blik aankijkt.

"Oh." zegt Louis en begint dan te praten met Eleanor die naast hem zit. Ik kijk terug naar Liam en hij kijkt me met gefronste wenkbrauwen aan. Ik geef hem een geruststellende glimlach en begin te eten. Als iedereen klaar is, komt Isabella binnen.

"Ok, so this is the schedule for this afternoon. Eleanor and Louis will start with the photo shoot and in meanwhile Harry and Amy will start with the interview. Then Harry and Amy will do the photo shoot and Zayn and Perrie the interview. Then Zayn and Perrie the photo shoot and Liam and Ashley the interview. Then Liam and Ashley the photo shoot and Niall and Maddy the interview. And at least Niall and Maddy the photo shoot and Eleanor and Louis the interview." zegt ze, "Is that good for everyone?"

Iedereen knikt en mompelt instemmend. Dan staan Eleanor, Amy, Louis en Harry op en lopen ze achter Isabella aan.

"Ashley?" hoor ik Liam dan naast me vragen en ik kijk hem aan als teken dat hij verder moet gaan, "Why did Isabella ask you to come with her?" vraagt hij.

"I told you, she wanted to give me my handbag back." zeg ik zo overtuigend mogelijk.

Hij kijkt me ongelovig aan, "I don't believe you."

"Look, I don't want to talk about it right now. I'll tell you tonight ok?!"

"Ok." zegt hij met een zucht.

"Welcome." zegt Selena, de interviewster, met een vriendelijke glimlach, "Sit down, please."

Liam en ik doen wat ze zegt en gaan op de rode zachte bank zitten tegenover haar.

"So, how are you two doing?"

"We're doing great." zegt Liam met een glimlach en hij legt zijn hand op mijn knie.

"That's amazing. So to start off with, how did you two met?"

Liam kijkt me aan en ik knik.

"We met at school. Ashley was the new student. From the first moment, she was popular, but she was the good kind of popular. She was sweet, friendly, beautiful and she was always smiling. Everyone wanted to be friends with her. Every girl wanted to be like her and every boy had a crush on her. It wasn't until one moment we met though." zegt hij en ik zie dat hij het moeilijk krijgt dus besluit ik om verder te vertellen.

"Our teacher was ill so we could home earlier. When I walked past the cycle shed, I heard someone talking so I decided to take a look. What I saw was horrible." zeg ik terwijl ik terugdenk aan het moment dat ik Liam en Jay zag, "Liam was on the ground and a boy -I'm not going to say his name- stood above him. He was about to hit him." zeg ik en Liam begint weer te praten.

"I don't know what would've happened if Ashley didn't walk in the cycle shed." zegt Liam en hij neemt mijn had vast en knijpt erin, "From that moment we were best friends." zegt hij en hij kijkt terug naar Selena die ons aankijkt.
