Chapter 13 - Little White Lies

(Katrina's POV)

"Hey Abi!" I say as I walk into our flat.

"Hey girl. So, how was your day with Danny." She said.

"Better than I thought it would be."

"Oh really? How so?"

"Well, I am no longer single."

"Shut up! He did not!"

"He did!"

We both started fangirling. Jumping around and screaming.

(Abigail's POV)

I had to be a good friend and be happy for her, but honestly, I do NOT like that Danny guy. When I first met him, he was alright, but then after a while when Kat and him started to really hang out quite a bit, I started to dislike him. He's so conceded. And there's just something about him that irritates me. I'm not sure if it's that he thinks WAY too much of himself, or whatever, but something is just not settling right with him. But I don't want to tell Kat that. But I guess, that the saying is true,

Love does make you blind.

But hopefully she wont fall to hard, and hopefully they wont last very long...

---A month later---

(Niall's POV)

It's been a month since I found out about Kat and Daniel. And she still hasn't told anyone. And she's blown me off quite a few times. Like last week, we were supposed to go to the movies to hang out - because we hadn't had quality best friend time in a while - but then Daniel wanted to take her out on a nice romantic dinner. So, I took another rain check.

Maybe she's not out today, so I thought I'd stop by and see. I knock hoping for Kat to open it, but Abi does.

"Hey Abigail, is Kat around?"

"No sweetie, she's off with Daniel again." Maybe she's feeling the same way that I am about that guy?

"Oh, okay then. Well, can I come in anyways. I've got to talk to you."

"Sure thing Blondie."

I walked into their flat.

"What is it?" Abi asked.

"Okay, It's about this Daniel lad. How'd she meet him, and when did this all start? Do you know anything out it?"

"Hon, she tell's me everything. She met him while she was taking a break in the studio, about two, three, months ago. From what I've heard, he's a Star Records newbie. They went out to get a coffee, hit it off, and have been hanging out ever since. But they didn't start dating until that day you saw her with him."

"Okay... Well now that that's cleared up... Do you know why she's keeping everything from us? I mean, I know me and the rest of the lads, with an exception of Liam, and as close as you and her are, but she usually would have told us but now... Me and her were getting pretty close there for a bit, and she wasn't even planning on telling me."

"Ha! I swear! You two are so blind when it comes to this! Okay, I guess I'm going to have to spell it out for you. I already know that you've got feelings for her, its easy to see. And, you'll be happy to know that she likes you just the same, BUT, with her it's different. She's trying to convince herself that she no longer has feelings for you by going out with Daniel, sooo, because the key word is trying, she didn't want to tell you because it would have hurt her probably as much as it hurt you... You see where I'm getting this?"

Did she just say that Kat likes me?

"Yeah... Um, I've gotta go... I'll stop by later, maybe. Bye... Oh and thanks."

"No problem." I started to leave. "Oh, and Niall."

"Yeah?"

"For the record, I'm rooting for you two... And, hopefully Kat and Daniel wont last long. They shouldn't, he's way to conceded. To into himself."

"Thanks Abi... For everything."

"No problem Blondie."

I think me and Abi are gonna turn out to be pretty good friends.

---The Next Day---

(Liam's POV)

"Does the country/pop superstar have a new man? Our photographers got quite a few steamy shots of her and Star Records newbie Daniel Adams while he was dropping her off at her apartment, about a month ago. Could this be Hollywood's next 'it' couple?"

I couldn't believe what I was reading. I'd gone to the store to get Niall some food because he was to lazy to go himself, he'd been acting weird by the way, and I saw this weeks issue of Popstar with my cousins face plastered on the front with some guy on a motorcycle!

I'd end up buying the magazine, and am now heading home to talk to her. How could she keep this from me? She knows how I feel about motorcycles, they're extremely dangerous, and what's up with her wanting to date a bad boy now? Is it for her image?

I pulled up in front of our apartment building. I went to the flat that me and Niall share.

(Niall and Liam share, Harry and Louis share, and Zayn has his own flatt. And of course, Abi and Kat share:)

"Niall, I'm back, and I've got some interesting news."

"In here." he called from the kitchen.

"It's about time! I'm about die of starvation! What'd you get?"

"There's no time for that, look what was all over the magazine stand." I tossed him the magazine. His smile dropped.

"Did she not tell you yet?" He asked. What! He knew!

"You knew! She told you?"

"No, actually I saw him dropping her off that day, and she made me promise not to say anything. She said she'd tell you soon... I was just trying to be a good friend Li. I'm sorry."

"It's alright Ni. I'm just upset that she didn't tell me."

"If it makes you feel any better, she wasn't planning on telling me either." he was getting upset. Then I finally got it.

"You like her don't you?"

"I guess I'm just that easy to read? Abi figured it out too."

"Well, you light up every time she's near, and you always smile when you talk to, or about her."

He started walking to the living room reading the rest of the article. I followed behind him.

"You think she really likes him?" He asked.

"I wouldn't know... But from the looks of him, I'd much rather her have you instead of him."

"Thanks man... Have you talked to her yet?"

"No... But, I'm headed over there now... Wanna join me?"

"Um... No thanks. I think I'll pass. So, here take this, and good luck." He handed me the magazine.

"Okay, well. I'll be back in a bit."

(Katrina's POV)

I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to a frustrated looking Liam.

"Hey Li-" He cut me off.

"We need to talk... Now."
