Over It

Chapter 2

Emmy’s PoV:

I woke up this morning to Zayn’s text, ‘Good morning beautiful. Come over tonight so we can talk please. I just want to see you. I love you.’ I didn’t want to see him. I knew that if I went over there then I would wind up being with him again. Looking into those light hazel brown eyes has always had that effect on me. I get up and take my shower before getting ready for work. I work in BBC radio 1. That is how Zayn and I met. He came in for an interview with One Direction and I was in charge of making sure they had everything they needed. He saw me and it was like something just clicked. Those hazel eyes were mesmerizing. I walk into work and look at the schedule. A band by the name of The Midnight Beasts are coming in today. I grab my phone and look them up on youtube. I do this whenever a new band comes in. I listen to a few of their songs while I set up their microphones and get their headsets. An hour goes by and they walk into the studio.

“Hello we are The Midnight Beast” A curly haired  boy says as he walks up to the desk.

“Hi we were expecting you. I am Emmy and I will be the one making sure you are taken care of today. If you need anything you can just ask me. Just give me a minute and I will see if they are ready for you” I say.

I walk into the studio and let the host know that they have arrived. He says to bring them in so they can set up during the commercial break. I walk back out to the three boys.

“They are ready for you. If you come this way I can show you to your places” I say walking back towards the studio.

We walk into the radio room and I show them their microphones, headsets, and controls. Then I take my spot in the corner of the room. I had to fill in for Jenna today because she was sick. This being said I had no idea what I was doing as a sound person because Jenna’s replacement never showed up.

“And we are live here in BBC Radio 1 with no other than The Midnight Beasts”

“Yeah!” they yell into their microphones.

“For those of you who don’t know who these three amazing guys are, they are from the youtube world with their number one single Tik Tok. So we are here with Ash, Stef, and Dru. We will play their new single and be back with them in a moment”

The song came on and I immediately recognized it as the song I listened to earlier. It is so catchy.

Stefan’s PoV:

We followed Emmy into the radio room. She shows us to our microphones and explains to us what each knob does. I can’t stop looking at her. She is so beautiful. The radio host introduces us and plays our hit single.

“I see you looking at her. Why don’t you go talk to her?” Ash nudges me.

“I can’t”

“Why?” Dru asks.

“What if I say something stupid?”

“You won’t. Just ask her if she wants to hang out with us sometime” Ash suggests.

“Here write your number down and give it to her” Dru says handing me a pen and paper.

I write my number down and as nervous as I am, I get up and go talk to her.

Emmy’s PoV:

“Hi. Emmy was it?” the curly haired one said walking over to me.

“Yes that is my name” I say nervously because I found him quite attractive.

“My name is Stefan and I was just wondering if maybe you want to hang out with me...I mean us sometime” he says looking at the floor and then back up to me.
