Over It

Chapter 5

Emmy’s PoV:

It has been eight months since Zayn and I broke up. Today is Niall’s birthday and I am going to go to his party. Although Zayn and I broke up, I am still friends with the other boys. I am not going to stay home just because Zayn is going to be there. I love Niall and I want to celebrate his birthday with him. I know Jenna is going to be there so that will make it a little better. I take a shower and get changed into a cute floral dress and converse. Stefan picks me up....Yes he is coming to the party with me. I don’t care what Zayn has to say, Niall offered for me to bring him. I give Stefan directions to Niall’s house and before I know it we are there.

“Are you sure you want me there? I can pick you up later if you think it will be uncomfortable” Stefan says looking at me with worry in his eyes.

“No I want you there. I am not going to hide you away and not introduce you to my friends because of my ex boyfriend” I say kissing him on the cheek and getting out of the car. Stefan follows my actions and gets out, walking along side me. We walk up to Niall’s house and ring the doorbell. Niall answers the door.

“Em!!!!!!!” Niall yells grabbing me and twirling me around. “I’ve missed you so much” He says putting me down.

“Niall, this is my boyfriend Stefan” I introduce.

“Stefan it is a pleasure to meet you. You are a very lucky lad to have such an amazing girl like Emmy”

“Yeah I would have to agree I am pretty lucky” He says smiling down at me.

We walk further into the party and I introduce Stefan to more people along the way. As we walk in we see Jenna and Liam and we walk over to them.

“Hey Jenna” Stefan says.

“Hey Stef. Hey Em” She replies. “Stefan this Liam. Liam this is Emmy’s new boyfriend Stefan”

“It’s nice to meet you” Liam responds.

We continue to have small talk when I notice Zayn out of the corner of my eye. I turn to look and see him staring at me and Stefan with hate and despair in his eyes. Upon me looking over he gets up and starts walking towards us.

“Hello Emmy” He says as he gets closer.

“Oh hey Zayn” I say looking between Stefan and Zayn. Zayn is looking at him like he is ready to pounce. “Zayn this is my boyfriend Stefan” I say trying to focus his attention back on me.

“Nice to meet you” Stefan says breaking the silence. “Why don’t I go get us something to drink” He continues but directing his words towards me.

“That would be great” I say as he walks away.

As Stefan leaves Zayn looks back down on me.

“HE’S your new boyfriend?!” He questions.

“Yeah. Is there a problem with that?” I ask coldly.

“Yeah there is. He is no good for you. You better not be doing things with him”

“What I do with him is none of your business now. We are no longer together and I have moved on”

Suddenly Stefan comes back with two diet sodas and hands one to me.

“Thank you” I say.

“Is everything alright here?” Stefan questions looking at Zayn.

“Everything is just fine” Zayn says walking away.

“Are you sure you are ok?” Stefan asks me as soon as he is gone.

“Yeah everything is fine. Lets dance” I say, taking Stefan’s drink and putting it down with mine before dragging him to where everyone was dancing.
