Over It

Chapter 7

Emmy’s PoV:

I was just settling back on the couch after washing the plates from mine and Jenna’s lunch when I heard a car door. I walk to the window to see that Jenna has pulled back in. I go to the door just as I hear her knock.

“Jenna? Back so soon? Did you forget something?” I ask as I open the door. Suddenly she begins to cry and that is when I know something is terribly wrong. “Come inside and sit down I will make some tea and you can tell me what happened” I say leading her to the living room.

I go into the kitchen and make some tea. When I come back into the living room Jenna is still crying. I hate to see my friend this hurt especially when I don’t even know why.

“Okay so tell me why you are crying. Do I need to kick someones ass? You know I will” I say trying to cheer her up.

“I got home and heard Liam in the bedroom. I figured he was on the phone so I walked in but he was...in my sheets...” She trailed.

She didn’t even have to finish her sentence. I knew what she was about to tell me. I can’t believe he would cheat on her and in their flat. I mean I knew he was sleeping with someone else after what Niall told Jenna but I couldn’t fully believe it. He better hope I don’t see him because the second I do he will have a hand across the face. No one messes with my best friend and gets away with it.

“That fucking asshole. You DO NOT deserve that shit” I say.

“Don’t worry I am done. I am not dealing with it anymore. I am moving on”

“Good for you. Tomorrow after we get out of work I will go over there with you and help you get your stuff. You can stay with me. I have a two extra rooms”

“Thanks Emmy you are the best” She says with a smile. That smile soon fades when there is banging on my front door.

I open the door to see Liam standing in the doorway.

“What do you want?” I snap. I am trying so hard not to deck him in his pretty boy face.

“Is Jenna here? I went to her mums but she hasn’t been there”

“Even if she was she doesn’t want to talk to you. You have caused her enough pain. You are just as bad as Zayn” I shout.

“Listen I didn’t....” I stop his sentence with a slap across the face.

“Don’t even try to say you didn’t mean it. Now get off my property and leave Jenna and I alone before I call the police” I shout slamming the door in his face before he can say anything else. I go back in the living room to see Jenna standing at the window watching him leave.

“I have to talk to him.” She says, still staring out the window.

“What do have to talk to him about? He cheated on you!” She turns around.

“I can’t leave things like this!”

“Well I won’t stand by and let you fall back into his arms. He has hurt you to many times and I am ending it” I say defensively.

“I need closure. It can’t end without an explanation, Emmy.  I need to know why!”  

“Fair enough but I just want you to be careful”

“I will, it will be hard but I can do this.”

“And I have your back ok?”

“Thanks.  I love you!”

“I love you too Hun”
