Tsk tsk tsk. I clicked my tongue in annoyance. That stupid girl should've shown up by now. Just as I was about to order my soldiers to kill everyone, someone snarled.
"Let them go if you want to live." The girl hissed. She called herself "The Ruler of Shadows" but I found that bullshit. The girl was skinny, and I could easily break her if I wanted to. I actually had, years ago. She tried killing me. Key word: tried. She wasn't powerful enough. I snorted.
"Are you going to make me?" I said with a smirk. "We all know what happened last time. Someone told me that you have a new child. Maybe I ought to kill them too." I looked around at my warriors as they laughed and nodded.
"And what's with taking in all these children? I thought you learned your lesson with the last 10 dead children." I watched her carefully. I didn't watch her face for her tells, because that would be too obvious. No, I watched her shadows. Every time I mentioned her children, they would grow and try to seem intimidating. Sadly for her and her shadows, a little bit of darkness doesn't scare me.
