Back in Dr Graysons' office. The clock is still ticking and she's still making her notes. Her landline rings, disrupting the steady silence of her office. She looks at the ID and prepares herself for a difficult conversation.

"Hello, Miss Johnson." Dr Grayson answers calmly, talking to Olivia's mother could sometimes end up in a screaming match (mostly one sided) so Dr Grayson tries to start off each conversation as calmly as possible.

"Hi, Dr Grayson, how was Olivia today?"

"Well, we made the tiniest progress." Dr Grayson replies with hope. "She felt a headache when I questioned her about Thomas and I think that means we're pushing through."

"I'm not sure these methods are working." Miss Johnson replies sourly.

"It's going to take some time."

"What about medication?"

"Medication wouldn't be the best solution in the long term for this problem, Miss Johnson."

"Nothing else is working!" She yells. "It's been five years and the last two years have taken a turn for the worse."

"We'll just have to keep pushing through, these sorts of situations are extremely delicate and take time."

"She can't keep seeing him." Miss Johnson cries. "He's not real!"

"I'm very aware of that."

"Are you sure?" Miss Johnson asks. "Because for the last two years, my daughter has had an imaginary boyfriend."

"We'll just have to keep pushing through, this is her way of coping with her fathers' abandonment."

Miss Johnson sighs.

"Have you spoken to him?" Dr Grayson asks.

"I've tried everything, Emma." Miss Johnson rarely used Dr Graysons' first name. "I've left him voicemails and emails explaining that his daughter is losing her mind over him and he doesn't care."

"There's only so much you can do, Joseline." Dr Grayson assures her. "We're making some progress, we'll have Olivia back."

"When?"

"Whenever she's ready."

Hey everyone, this is the end of book one! Yay! I'm writing this book to further express my emotions and feelings on using fiction and fantasy as a method of escapism. The main character, Olivia, as you can see, uses fantasy to escape from her real life problems and thus created an imaginary boyfriend to replace her dad who abandoned her. Peak. Please give me your thoughts, comments, criticisms etc. Just no mean comments or you'll be blocked. Thanks peeps.
