Twenty five

I was stuck waiting in the hospital waiting room. It was strange to be on the other side of this, normally I was the one greeting and telling people to wait here. Telling them that there was nothing to worry about and a doctor would be with them shortly. The men of the club were scattered everywhere, I'm pretty sure they looked intimidating to anyone walking past. I'm sure that is how I used to see them now I see them as family. Jade had come out to speak to the guys telling them they had taken him in for a head scan to check if everything was ok. She sat beside me her legs jumping up and down with nerves, "you want something to drink?" I point towards the coffee Machine, and she shakes her head. "Ok I won't be long" I stand and walk over towards it. As I pass Gunner who is talking to some of the club men he reached out for me wrapping his fingers around my wrist.

"Where are you going?" He questions me and I roll my eyes, he is too protective for his own good. "To get a drink, Jade needs to eat something" I look back over towards where she is, and he nods his head. "I will go sit with her until you get back, but don't take too long." He drops my hand and I stand still placing my hands on my hips I roll my eyes at him, and he smirks "I'm going to be right there" I point to the vending machines. He looks over to where I pointed out then smirks even more when he stalks towards me. "Your sexy when you're annoyed" he growls when he dips his head to kiss my lips. Of course, I melt like butter, and he knows how to make me swoon. He pulls away first much to my annoyance and I pout he groans at me "go before I fuck you here for everyone to see." I bite my bottom lip blushing but I quickly turn away and walk over to the snack machine.

Looking to all the snacks inside I place my card on the flashing card payments contactless symbol and push the buttons to get some chocolate, it's Jade's favorite and I know she's hungry I've been hearing her stomach rubble for a good thirty minutes. Then I move over to the drinks grabbing two bottles of water as I bend down to pick them up I see a pair of shiny shoes, polished to perfection stop to my left. Looking up to find the owner of the shoes I come face to face with Simon. I sign he is really the last person I wish to see right now as I pull the last bottle of water out of the machine and stand up. "What do you want Simon" I grit out the words. "I want to talk to you" he says as I turn my back on him and walk over to where Jade is seated. He follows me like some idiot, when I reach them I place the water bottles down on the side table and the chocolate next. "Emma, please it won't take long" he begs me and I turn around crossing my arms over my chest I can feel Gunner burning eyes sinking into the side of my face.

"Fine but you have five minutes" I reply just hoping to get this over and done with. "Babe" Gunner stands up and I turn to look at him the surrounding tension is thick and quite uncomfortable. But I can see the evidence of nerves written all over him. Stepping towards him I peck his lips to ease his nerves "I won't be long." I whisper to him as I pull back he nods his head as he sits back down. Looking towards Simon I scold at him as I shove past him and walk to the furthest side of the waiting room. No one is seated over there so it gives us some privacy. As I turn to lean against the wall I can't help but throw a glance over to where Gunner and Jade sit, they both look my way and I smiled weakly. "Make it quick Simon" when I look back towards him he nods.

"Ok well, I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry, things are not the same without you around any more Em, I miss you. I think we are good for each other and I want you back." I go to open my mouth to tell him to screw himself, but he holds his hand up stopping me. "Come on Em, things were great between us, the sex was amazing you can't tell me it was not. You can't be serious about this guy, I can let all this slip. Water under the bridge just open up them pretty eye of yours and see the biker trash is just that trash. Don't lower yourself to their standards." He smiled towards me when he finished his words like he was proud of them. I was fuming inside "you know what, sometimes I wonder what I ever saw in you. You're a total dickhead Simon, not if you were the last man on earth and this planet depended on me to repopulate. Would I go anywhere near you. You make me feel sick inside, and that biker trash as you like to call them are my family, so fuck you and your small dick."

His cheeks flames red at my words, and he steps towards me eyes blazing with anger. "People are calling you a whore Emma, look around that all he sees you as a whore. I tried to give you a chance even if your ugly now, look at you. He's never going to want you fully with that scar on your face." He spit the words towards me and I sink back they felt like a slap, then the next thing I know he's been shoved away from me. He crashes into the wall at my side and my eyes go wide. "Gunner has his hands wrapped around his throat, and he's chocking the life out of him. For a few minutes I think about letting him kill him but that idea quickly vanished when I thought about the consequences. I wrap my hands around Gunner's arm pulling on him. But he won't budge "stop, babe stop he's not worth it." I shout out.

Tommy's eyes land on me before he roughly shoved Simon away and into the wall with force. I wince at the sound of the impact and I flinch at the sound of Gunner's voice it's laced with venom. "You come near her again and I will kill you, you understand. She's mine, under my protection, I know who you are, where you live I also know where your parents live, so don't test me, you got it?" Simon looks like he just about pissed himself as he shakes his head "fuck off." Tommy does not take his eyes of him as Simon fleas from the room. He doesn't even look back, the fear on his face was priceless. I think I would pay to see it again, then when he turns around to look at me I bite my bottom lip nervously. He breaths in deeply closing his eyes as he opens his arms for me of course I walk into them. The place is silent everything seems to have stopped working. "Well, seems I have a habit of missing all the fun" we both turn around as we see Tank walk up to us with Jade at his side. She looks happy as she holds onto him. It was then that I noticed the amount of men that stood around us, I started to blush and hide my face in Gunner's chest, this only made him laugh. "Good to see you're ok, Prez" Gunner said as he held me close to his body.
