Lost in the chase

|Betrayal|

Hoseok slowly opens his eyes to see that he wasn't in his room. He was still in his deer form and gets up from the bed, but his hind legs give out making him fall off the bed with a loud THUD. "Ouch!" He whines and he suddenly sneezes, making his big ears flop forward. "Cute." Hoseok quickly looks to the side to see a very tall man with deep dimples smiling at him. Hoseok quickly stumbles to get away, but the man got him before he could. "Whoa there. I won't hurt you."

Namjoon places the fawn down on the bed and places some pain pills and water on the side. "Take these pills for the pain and there is a bath ready for you and some clothes as well. If you need anything let me know." With that Namjoon leaves the fawn on the bed. "Cute, just like Guk when he's a bunny." he whispers under his breath and closes the door. Hoseok sees the man leave and he reverts back to a human and takes the pills. He heads to the bathroom since he felt dirty. He comes down from the bed and his tail twitched from the pain he gets from walking, but puts up with it.

He opens the door as his mind was still a bit fuzzy from what happened. He looks into the mirror and notices bruises all over his body. His ears rise up, "W-What the?!" His memories of that night begin to flood his mind, making him fist his hand into a ball, "That damn grandpa! He fucked me until I blacked out."

Hoseok quickly puts his ear and tail away and changes as fast as his body allowed him so he can get out of the room. He needed to get out of here before anything else happens to him. He noticed the room was big and fancy with an open view of Seoul. He sees his camera on a desk and he quickly takes it and notices a note next to it. "Go to the harbor to look for the truth." Hoseok raises his brow and remembers what Yoongi told him before he passed out.

"Hoseok, If you want to survive in this world, you'll have to start wising up. Keep your eyes open to make out the real truth. If you can't then you never know when you'll fall into a dark hole again."

"Yeah, advice is the first thing I want from someone who just destroyed my ass." He says sarcastically as he frowns and looks at the note that Yoongi left him. "But..." He quickly exits the room and heads down to the location that Yoongi told him.

The sun was setting in Seoul and a man in a dark suit was talking to an officer, "So, the tip about the deal going down at the warehouse was a trap set by Yoongi? If that kid got himself captured, he's probably being sold off somewhere by now. More importantly, I hope he didn't let on about our gang being involved."

"Don't worry, Hoseok knows nothing about that," the officer states to the gang leader. "Are you sure I can trust you? We're the ones who stand to lose big if there's a screw-up." The gang leader frowns as he bits on his nails, "That Yoongi guy... I heard he's got a sharp intuition. So it was a wise decision to use the kid with no ties to us, Lucas."

Lucas takes a drag of his cigarette, "I didn't come here to chat. That territorial takeover went well for you, didn't it? Just give me what I'm owned and get lost. Don't forget, it's me you have to thank for being able to do business in this city."

"Okay, here." The leader says and gives the money to Lucas. "Oh, here we found the kids stuff on the roof. Get rid of it before you leave." the leader says and leaves the harbor. Lucas looks at the bag of Hoseok stuff and his hat that he was wearing. He sighs when suddenly he hears a voice to the side, "Oh my stuff! I'm glad it's here."

Lucas's eyes widen to see Hoseok in front of him. He was wearing a white sweater and black jeans. "Ho-Hoseok! What happened to you?!" Hoseok smiles, "What do you mean? What are you doing here Lucas?" Hoseok takes his bad and hat from the ground. "Um, well... you've been missing for two days, so I got worried."

Hoseok eyes widen, "T-Two days!?" Hoseok clenches his fist, 'That monster!' Hoseok quickly looks back at Lucas "Oh, sorry about that, but as you can see, I'm fine." Hoseok says as he smiles. "Hoseok, were you captured by Yoongi-" "Lucas." Hoseok interrupts as he turns his back towards Lucas, "I trust you, Lucas. You were only meeting with those men in there as part of your investigations, right?"

Lucas's eyes widen and Hoseok looks back at his friend with a soft look, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. After all, I've been under your wing since I was just a student, so-" Hoseok eyes widen to see that Lucas pulls a gun out pointing at Hoseok. Lucas's eyes are stern as he looks at Hoseok, "Hoseok. This isn't a kid's game. I..." Hoseok can feel his heart racing seeing the gun near his face, "Lucas..."

BANG!

A gun fired and Hoseok was thrown to the floor. Lucas bent down as he was bleeding from his shoulder. Hoseok looks up to see Yoongi pointing his gun at Lucas, "Killing him won't keep the police away. Just let me deal with those men you were talking to, and we'll call it even." He says bluntly. Hoseok looks up at Yoongi, 'Why?' He says to himself.

After a while, Hoseok was sitting on a dock looking at the ocean seeing the sunset. "It's the same old story. A cop goes crooked and teams up with the gangsters he's supposed to bust. It seems that the detective was using his position to help orchestrate a territorial takeover of the drug market in return for a kickback." Yoongi says as he stands next to Hoseok. "He used you." He says bluntly as he turns to look at Hoseok who had his head down.

Hoseok had a few tears forming on his eyes as he sniffles, "I trusted him... that was cruel." Yoongi stares at Hoseok who was crying and pats his head. "I don't know if he really would have shot you, but I know how shocking a betrayal like this must be for a kid." Hoseok frowns and looks up at Yoongi, "Look who's talking! You used me too! You just shot a cop! How can you stay so calm?! About what just happened..." Hoseok holds his hand into a fist, "Don't think I owe you any favors or anything! MIN!"

Hoseok turns his head looking at the sunset and frowns, "I'll never forgive a criminal like you! One day, I'm going to catch you by the tail and get rich from the scoop!" Yoongi smirks as he looks at Hoseok, "Is that so? I look forward to it." He says amusingly. "Having you gaze at me with your camera may not be so bad, but..." He quickly takes a hold of Hoseok's chin, making the younger look up at him.

Their faces were very close to one another that their lips ghost over one another. Yoongi smirks, "But remember that you will also get caught by me and when you do. I won't show you any mercy, my sweet fawn." He says darkly. Hoseok eyes widen and he quickly breaks free from Yoongi's grip, "In your dreams Min."
