Dark.

Everything's dark.

I can't see a thing. "Ugh!" My head. My hands. "Ugh" my whole freaking body is limp.

"Mavis?"

"Mmmmmm" I can't speak a word.

"Mavis open your eyes"

"Oww" I try squinting, but it hurts as well.

"Mavis...try harder"

"Mmmm!" I did it. "Ugh" I regret it. My head. I'm in my room...i can tell. The wine coloured canopy attached to my bed is literally changing colours. What happened.....Angelo! I seat up abruptly to find Luca staring at me. I don't know what that emotion is on his face, but that's a thing for later.

"Mavis you need rest" he says as he gets up to stop me.

"Where Angelo" it's barely a whisper.

"God! What is it with this Angelo this, Angelo that?!" He shouts glaring at me. "Even when you where a second close to death, it was still Angelo!" He looks exhusted.

"Where's Angelo?" I can't rap my head around it, but it's just him. I just need to see him. Need to know that he's okay. The last thing I heard of him...."he's not breathing"....No. "Where's Angelo!" I'm up, but I'm staggering. Wordlessly, Luca helps me out of my room and to Masons room which is thankfully two doors from mine.

"Selimia semarioto".....the hell is that? Wait that language. "Retranga elisiga.....retranga elisiga!" I hear a sob and I nearly melt. "Damn it! Why can't I freaking do it?!" She sobs on.

"Tatie?" She turns, startled. I reach out to her. With tear filled eyes, she takes me from Luca and places me on the floor next to Angelo. "Why's he on the floor?" I ask looking at the empty bed.

"It's a healer thing" she says wiping her eyes. "He gains more sustenance by being on the bare floor" she sniffs. "Besides, we had to restrain Mason on the bed" what!?

"What?!"

"He was....I don't know, having an extreme nightmare I think. That's the closest I could get. His whole being, internal and external where under intense stress. He wouldn't stop thrashing around. Luca here had to hold him down with some machines" she pauses, looking uncertain. "His eyes...they kept changing colours. His brown, then black then red. It's not a good sign" oh my God.

"Where is he?" I ask, scanning the room.

"Locked himself in the bathroom" I immediately feel the urge to go to him, but I feel Tatie pull me back. "You have limited strength, Mavis. I think Angelo here needs more help than that stubborn old goat" ooo.

I look at Angelo and I feel like crying. He looks so lifeless. So fragile. So handsome...wayward thought. How did that get into my head at a time like this?

"You can touch him Mavis" Tatie prods as she lets out a resigned sigh.

"What's happening to him? Why couldn't you heal him?"

I see tears reapear in her eyes. "I don't know" she pauses trying to get herself together. "He's not breathing, and neither is his heart beating....but something inside of him is living. I think it's his magic. It's weak, but it's really evasive" she sighs heavily and runs a hand through her unruly dark brown hair. "I managed to keep his body from winding down like a heap of bones, but I just can't get a hold of his life. It's somewhere in there. I don't know if his magic is huddling it or something" she looks at me with genuine tired eyes. "I've tried everything Mavis. All my healing spells...none of them prepared me for something like this"
