You'd think they'd call to check up on him
To keep his crazy thoughts in check
He was suicidal and they knew it
They'd seen the cuts and bruises
They'd seen the pain in his eyes
They'd seen the emptiness and loneliness
He felt detached from the world
Hadn't had anything successful in life
Nothing meaningful
The world would be short of one useless person
His thoughts each time he tried to take his life
It was getting easier cut up his skin
And his so called friends
He knew they kept him around just for laughs
He wasn't a fool
The company just made him feel normal
But enough he was tired
He couldn't keep up pretending
He needed to end things
His pathetic life needed to come to an end
And he knew a lasting solutionA promise of the future
That's all which held him
The promise they'd be one
That she'll be his once more
To lay peaceful in her arms
To look into those beautiful eyes
To wrap his arms around her
A promise of foreverHe thought she'd be different
He thought she'd stay
But in the end
Just like those before her
She left him when he needed her
In his time of need
He'd never felt so alone
So abandoned by those closest
It was becoming a familiar feeling
And he just might embrace itYou'd think with all around him
He won't ever feel alone
But he was mostly all alone
Just by himself
Left with his pain to suffer
Left to his screaming thoughts
Left to fend for himself
When he needed them the most
He found himself to be all alone
In a cruel dark twisted world
A lesson he seemed to forget too often
No matter how they appeared to be
In the end he'll be left alone
Alone with the hurtful silent sadness
Forever Alone
