He'd agreed
He'd agreed to be her Best friend
She thought it'd take alot of begging
She thought he'd snub and ignore her
But he agreed, he accepted her
She felt uncharacteristically happy
She admire him and thought the world of him
Having him that close a friend
She felt fulfilled
Anything can happen she told herself
She'll cherish their friendship
Why did he care so much
Why did he make a big deal about her
It wasn't something she was used to
He was oddly close to her
She loved it and feared it
She liked the attention
But she couldn't help but think it'll end
That it was all an act
No one ever cared this much
What did he want from her
It was the hardest thing she did
She loved him so much
And yet she decided to be apart
Normally the thought of it scared her
Now she was the one ending things
She was the one leaving her beloved
The one guy whom she'd loved unconditionally
The pain was excruciating
But she had to do it
Although she loved him
She loved herself even more
For the love of herself she had to
But it came at a price
The price of her gentle loving heart
I love him so much
Her last thought as she decided
