His mother cried at his graduation, Sooyoung didn't show up, neither did his father.
Sooyoung didn't feel the need to show up to her brothers graduation. Bitna tried convincing her that it was an important part in his life and she should be there--but she refused. As for Junhee's father, weeks before his graduation he got into a fight with his father.
Junhee laid on his floor, phone to his ear and hand running through his own hair. "He asked me out, Youngjae."
"Oh my God, who?"
"Who else could it be?" Junhee stifled a laugh. "Donghun. He asked me to be his boyfriend."
"What did you say?" Youngjae was happy for Junhee but also worried. Donghun had hurt Junhee so much the past school year he didn't want to see his friend hurt again. He knew Junhee liked Donghun but he also knew that Junhee was often blinded by his love for him. No matter how much Donghun hurt him he eventually forgave him; Junhee said it was because God taught him to be forgiving to all. Youngjae didn't know how true that was but he let it slide.
Junhee bit his lip and closed his eyes, "I said yes. I have a boyfriend, Youngjae. Ah! I'm so happy right now. I've wanted this for so long," Junhee sat up and crossed his legs.
"What about your family?" Youngjae asked caution laced his tone.
Junhee sighed. "I'm not sure yet. I mean, everyone but my father was accepting when I told them I liked boys and girls. Well, it took my mom a while but she came around eventually. But, I'm not really sure how she would take the news that Donghun is my boyfriend-"

Junhee's eyes flew to his door, his mother stood there and unreadable expression on her face. "I'll call you back, Youngjae," He hung up, placing his phone on the floor. He turned to his mother, "Hi."
"You're dating Donghun?" She asked.
Junhee blinked and cleared his throat. He nodded, not really sure what to do.
"Out of every girl and boy out there, you chose the one person your father and I told you to stay away from."
"He's not as bad as he seems, mom. I promise. He's a really sweet guy who enjoys things like baking, singing, painting, swimming, and playing video games. He's really not that bad, he just looks it." Junhee stood up and grabbed his mother's hands. "If you got to know him, you'd love him."
"Are you talking about Lee Donghun?"
"Yes."
"Lee Donghun enjoys street racing, drinking, doing drugs, vandalism, and sleeping around, that man is practically a walking STI, Junhee!" She fumed. Junhee gave her a reassuring smile.
"Mom, although Donghun does enjoy partying and street racing I can assure you he no longer sleeps around and does drugs. He never really did drugs to begin with."
"How can you be so sure he doesn't do those things behind your back?"
"Mom, I trust him. Please trust me in my decision to date him. If I didn't trust him, I would've rejected him."
The room was silent for a moment.
"I wouldn't tell your father about this if I were you. You know how he acted when you came out and how he feels about Donghun. Imagine how he would act if he found out you were dating a boy and that boy was Donghun. When you move out you can tell him." Junhee nodded.
"Mom, I would like to go out with him tonight. May I?"
"Yes, but, you have to be home before ten."
"Thank you!"
-
"You're home on time, right?" Donghun asked, parking his car. Junhee glanced at the clock. He nodded.
"I don't want to go home yet," Junhee sighed. He wanted to spend more time with his boyfriend, he knew he couldn't but that didn't stop his want.
Donghun turned in his seat and stroked the back of Junhee's head. "Next time we can be together longer, I promise."
"Promise?"
"Of course, puppy," He removed his hand from the back of his head and cupped one half of his face. Junhee's heart was racing, his skin burned, he felt embarrassed by the pet name and nervous to have his first kiss. He wasn't sure if Donghun was going to kiss him but he hoped he would.
"Donghun."
He hummed.
"Kiss me goodnight?" Donghun smiled slightly. He leaned in, ghosting over his lips, and waited for Junhee to close it. Junhee inched forward, letting their lips collide. His stomach twirled in excitement as Donghun started moving his lips. Junhee followed Donghun's lead, he softly moved his lips against Donghun's almost haphazardly.
Donghun's other hand found its way to Junhee's thigh where it just rested. Junhee sat there, not knowing what to do with his hands or the rest of his body. He pulled away, grinning. "Goodnight. Sleep well." Junhee said shyly.
Junhee entered the living room, a huge grin spread across his lips.
The smell of booze filled his nostrils. His grin faded when he saw his father drunk on the couch. "Evening, father."
"Was that Lee Donghun?"
Junhee stayed quiet.
"Answer me!" Mr. Park stood up from the couch, tumbling a little bit. Junhee nodded. "With your words."
"Yes, it was Donghun."
Slap
"I told you to stay away from him."
"I know. But, he's not as bad as people say. Please just give him a chance like I did."
"Why you little-" He pounced towards Junhee.

Junhee had moved out of his childhood home and moved into a small one bedroom apartment with Donghun. It was close to Junhee's college and Donghun's workplace. He had to drive twenty minutes to his college so it wasn't a big deal to him, just means he has to wake up a little earlier and leave a little earlier.
They don't worry about it that much since the first semester haven't started yet, it's still Summer.
Many people criticize them, telling them they shouldn't be living together as it's inappropriate for two men to be living together. Or they say they shouldn't live together until they have gotten married. But right now, this works for them. Junhee wouldn't have it any other way, and neither would Donghun.
They stay up late together, reminiscing as they cuddle on the couch. Junhee always felt like Donghun's body engulfed him, making him feel warm all over. Donghun liked how tiny Junhee looked and felt in his arms. It felt homely, it felt like this is how things were supposed to be.
Their first night at their uptown one bedroom apartment was freeing. The first thing they set up was their bedroom. They were up all night. The room was filled with the smell of strawberry lemonade candles, it was lit only by the candles light and the city lights. Music softly played in the background, sweet notes were sang by the both of them as they danced. It was one thing Junhee always wanted to do, dance in the middle of an empty room.
He held onto Donghun's shoulders and hummed. They moved slowly, Junhee had never danced before. They were careful of not making fools of themselves but still, love embraced them. Junhee dipped his head in the crook of Donghun's neck, suddenly feeling embarrassed he let out a giggle. Donghun stopped and pulled away for a second. "What's wrong?"
"What if someone sees us?"
"Let them," Donghun grinned before placing a kiss on Junhee's lips then made his way down to Junhee's adam's apple, he gave it a soft kiss and went to his original stance. Junhee chuckled, he pulled Donghun closer to him.
"I love you. God, Donghun, I love you so much."
Donghun smiled. "I know; and I love you too. So much."
Junhee finally felt pride in himself, moving in with Donghun was one of the best decisions he's ever made.
