How are you all doing?
This is a painfully short chapter in my opinion but I felt the need to post it as it is.

"Don't touch anything. Don't look at anything. Emy, you stay focused. Don't talk to anyone. Don't touch anyone, I'm looking at you Tucker," (Y/n) was listing rules to them out loud. She pondered to herself, "Did I forget anything?"
"So you basically want us to do nothing," Simmons says. Grif opted for laying on the table because his ice cream didn't agree with inter-dimensional travel. So Caboose, Tucker, and Simmons had to sit on the floor, while Emy sat on Caboose's lap. Sarge, Carolina, and Wash just stood.
"Just breathe and walk...... unless I tell you otherwise."
Caboose raised his hand and asked, "Can we ask questions?"
(Y/n) wasn't prepared for Caboose of all people to ask that, "Um, sure, I guess?"
He raised his hand again, "Where is the bathroom?"
"I'll walk you guys to a restroom as soon as I check-in. Any other questions?"
Everybody raised their hands. (Y/n) sighed, "How about I answer those while we walk? I really have to sign in."(Y/n) lead them down the hallways of the core. Passing operatives and agents gave us passing glances; Some of them waved but mostly kept to themselves.
Carolina was the first to voice her concern, "Where are we?"
"This is the core, the central operations for all inter-dimensional, universal, and time-related operations. This where agents live, train, and get assignments."
Sarge asked, "What does Core stand for?"
"Nothing, we just call it the core."
"Why?"
"Because it's at the center of everything and it is important."
Tucker decided to move on to a different topic, "You work here? I thought you were four or something?"
"I'm ten, thank you very much," (Y/n) sounded offended.
"That doesn't explain how you're employed, everyone else here is adults."
"I'm just that good at what I do," (Y/n) says with pride. They reached an area covered wall to wall with lockers. There was a kiosk with a sign that said 'Check-in' on it. (Y/n) dug into her pocket and pulled out a black card. She held it under a scanner until it beeped and the card turned white. "Welcome back , Core Agent 626."
"Okay, now let's go before—"
"Well, well, well, well, well," a snarky sounding voice came from behind the group.
"That. Before that," (Y/n) sighed.
There was a preteen girl, maybe about thirteen years old. She had short blond hair and wore a dark pink headband. She was wearing a green dress, a dark pink sweater, and black flats. She cut through the group to stand in front of (Y/n). "Welcome back, (Y/n). You brought guests again?"
"Clearly," (Y/n) said flatly.
"Brinkley won't be happy to hear about this," The girl said.
"Nope."
"She'll be pissed."
"Not if I explain—"
"Too bad I already texted her," She laughed.
(Y/n) smiled fakely, "Oh, you shouldn't have, I already notified Brinkley yesterday. Thanks for trying to help though." This caused the sarcastic smile to slip off of the girl's face. The two girls glared at each other.
