Issue 3:Hands on-uh,tentacles on experience

I woke up to Midoriya calling me by my phone.I picked up and said 'good morning',still groggy.

"Todoroki!Did you watch the news last night?"

I hesitated,not wanting to lie to him,"No.Why?"

"There's a superhero in town!A real,mutant,saves people superhero!"

I smiled at his excited tone,proud."Really?That's so cool!"

"Yeah!His name is Spiderman!He saved me and Momo last night from Black Cat when we were out buying jewelry for her date tonight!Er,not Black Cat's,Mom's!"

I chuckled,"Yeah,i got that."

"Shouto!Breakfast is ready!"Fuyumi called.

"I gotta go!Meet me on the way to school,okay?"

"Okay!I'll miss you!"

"Miss you too!"I hung up and went to kitchen,which doubles as the dining room,seeing in her pastel pink pajamas and Natsuo in just a t-shirt and boxers.Natsuo saw me first and grinned when he did.

"Hey,Spidershouto!"

I smiled at him,"Hey,Natsuo.What's for breakfast?"

"Ruti,dal curry,chicken dopiaza and fried eggs!"

"The favorite breakfast of our favorite superhero!"Fuyumi said.

I felt bashful,"Fuyumiiiiii."

They both laughed but not in a mocking way."Seriously though,were really proud of you."Natsuo said seriously and softly as Fuyumi served the food.She nodded after he spoke.

"You really came through,Shouto.Not many people have the bravery to do that,especially at your age."

I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrasment,sitting down."It wasn't all me.Mā was the who gave me the idea."

They both looked surprised before smiling."Figures."Natsuo said fondly.

"That does sound like her."Fuyumi agreed.

"I still can't believe it!"Natsuo said playfully."Our little Shouto the hero!Next thing you know you'll be dating!"

My mind flashed to Yaoyorozu and her beautiful soul and how soft her hands felt against mine that time she handed me a pencil."I exclaimed,standing up straight.

Natsuo raised an eyebrow,"Woah there!Didn't say you were!"He smirked,"But now i'm thinking you are."

I groaned,buried my face in hands to hide my blushing face and slid back down 'til i was half way across the chair."Who is it?"He asked.

"Natsuo,leave him alone."

"C'mon,i'm just curious!Is it Midoriya?"

My head snapped up,"What?!No! Midoriya is like another brother to me!"

Natsuo looked pensive,tapping his chin with his finger."Hmmm..."His face light up,"Oh!You did mention that girl you hit it off with a few months ago! Yaoyorozu was it?Is it her?"

My vermillion face gave me away and Natsuo looked victorious,"I knew it!You have a girlfriend!"

"She is NOT my girlfriend!"

"Shouto and Yaoyorozu sitting in a tree~K-i-s-"Fuyumi shoved warm eggs in his mouth and he was too busy trying not to choke to continue.I gave her a thankful look as i got up to go to the bathroom and she gave me a thumbs up.

At school,practically everyone was talking about Spiderman.Some positive("He's so awesome!" "I wonder who he is!" Do you think he goes to our school?Oh my gods,what of we're friends with Spiderman?!"),some negative("Great,another mutant." "What's that freak doing in our city?" "I want to squash him like the bug he is!").Regardless,i was on a lot of minds.Not gonna lie,the second ones hurt but the second ones gave me hope.There were people who knew mutants weren't bad outside of my circle of loved ones.
