The miraculous adventures of Spidershouto

Issue 4:Sand in my pants

Spidermenace.That was the first thing to greet me as i entered the dining kitchen that morning.

"Sorry!"Said a flustered Fuyumi as she took the newspaper she'd flung in my direction off my face.

"So i get my own insult?"I said,hiding my hurt,"I've made it to the big leagues."

Natsuo frowned,"Shouto,stop hiding your pain with humor."

I shrugged,"Sorry,that's just who i am."

Before Natsuo could respond,i noticed just what newspaper it was.The Daily Bugle.

My father's newspaper.

I didn't notice i was shaking until Fuyumi hugged me,resting her chin on my head."Oh,Shouto."She said softly,"You know how terrible father is.Whatever he says dosen't matter."

I hugged back,teary eyed,"I just..keep hoping he'll change but he just stays the fucking same."

Natsuo joined the hug,rubbing my back."You don't need his approval.None of us do."

They were right.I knew they were.But that broken little kid in me was still there,hoping his dad would apologize somebody.

Today at school,everyone was talking about Spiderman again.Which wasn't surprising.What was surprising was that MONOMA,of all people,was the positive kind.

"Spiderman saved me!"I heard him tell Kendou Itsuka and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu at lunch."Yesterday,that octopus guy-"

"Doc Ock."Tetsutetsu corrected.

"Whatever-he kidnapped me and Spiderman caught me in his arms!"He got a dreamy look on his face and it finally clicked.Monoma had a crush on Spiderman and he had no idea it was me.

He may be a jerk but i'd hate to break his heart.Not because i didn't like boys(i'm bi)but because i didn't see him that way.

"Woah."Kendou grinned."Did you ask him out?"

Monoma got flustered,"I could never!He's a superhero!"

And that.I want someone who likes me,not just Spiderman.

"It's probably for the best."She crossed her arms,"He's out of your league anyway."

Monoma sputtered,"You know what?!I'm gonna ask him out the next time i see him!"

I resisted the urge to groan.Please DON'T.

"Hey,Midoriya!"Kirishima walked up to where we were sitting."Check it out!"He showed us his phone.There,was a red and blue website with spider themes.It was titled 'The Spiderblog'.

"Woah!"Said Midoriya,delighted,"Is it a Spiderman blog?"

"It's THE Spiderman blog!"Kirishima said proudly,"I uploaded everything Spiderman's done so far,including him and Yaoyorozu fighting Doc Ock yesterday!"

I nearly choked on my hot chocolate.How had we not seen him?!

He clicked play and yesterday's battle was shown.Judging by the angle,he'd been hiding in an alley way.Once it finished,Midoriya was starry eyed."I can't believe Yaoyorozu is friends with Spiderman!How long do you think she's known him?"

"Probably since before he became Spiderman."Kaminari awnsered,coming over,"She calls him'Spidey'."

"I think she's his girlfriend."said Kirishima.

"She is NOT Spiderman's girlfriend!"I was too late to stop myself.

Midoriya stiffled a chuckle and the other two looked at me surprised."Why are you so upset?"Kaminari asked.Then he looked like he had an ephiphany and smirked,"Wait,do you have a crush on Yaoyorozu?"
