Walking through the crowd of bodies with her hand in Jack's, Joelle was beginning to seriously question why she agreed to come to this party.

Everyone appeared to be drunk or high and the music was awful. Joelle had always had a hatred for parties because everyone who attended thought that they were cooler than they were. They spent the entire night taking drunken pictures to post to social media and boast about their social life.

Joelle's dream 'party' would have no more than twenty people maximum with weak alcoholic beverages but mostly soft drinks, bowls of crisps, a ban on smoking and The Beatles playing at a comfortable noise level.

"It's quieter through here." Jack tried to reassure the girl as he lead her into Tyrone's kitchen which only had a few people in it.

The Brummie boy lead his best friend towards a taller man with dreads almost covering his eyes.

"Joelle, this is Tyrone." The smaller girl looked up at the man that towered over her and gave him a warm smile since he was the one that had technically allowed her to be here.

"Thanks for letting me come to your party." Joelle's voice was quiet and Tyrone could only just make out what she was saying over the loud music. Jack shook his head at the girl that was standing beside him. She really didn't understand the ins and outs of parties, it was sweet.

"No problem," Tyrone laughed, understanding why Jack was so whipped. Joelle was innocent and Jack protected her from the world.

"Jack tells me that you can sing," Joelle would be lying if she said that she knew where Tyrone was going with this because she didn't. She had no idea.

"We have karaoke going on and I want you to perform." Tyrone proposed and Joelle thought about it for a split second before agreeing.

"Show me to the microphone." The trio laughed at Joelle's words and made their way to the stage that was set up in Tyrone's massive backgarden. He had a live band and Joelle found herself wondering how much money he actually had.

"What song do you want us to play?" The leader of the band asked the curly haired girl when she stood on the stage, getting ready to 'perform'. She knew that most of the people at the party wouldn't care too much about her presence but with Jack in the crowd, she wanted to make him proud.

"Actually, I have the music on my phone. Would you be able to play this?" Joelle handed her phone to the leader of the band and he nodded his head, helping her to forward the sheet music on to the rest of the musicians.

"Oh, do you have a spare guitar?" The curly haired girl turned to face the band that were behind her and the guitarist scrambled to lift one off of the stand for her.

The music started from the live band and it immediately caught the attention of many of the party people as it was an unfamiliar song.

"What happens, to a flame when it burns out? What happens to a love that's not new?" The words fell from Joelle's voice so effortlessly. Her voice was smooth and velvety and Jack stood in the crowd, in awe of her voice.

The crowd of people started to dance a little to the song, realising just how good the girl up on the stage was.

"You're filming this, right?" Jack asked Tyrone in the crowd, not taking his eyes off of the girl on stage for even a split second. There was no way that he was going to miss this.

"Yes, Jack." The taller boy sighed, filming the performance for Jack. Tyrone had no idea why Jack wanted the performance videoed or what he was planning to do with it but he didn't question it.

"In the comfortable with you," Joelle's voice riffed before moving away from the microphone and taking her fingers to the strings of the guitar. Jack watched intently as her fingers moved swiftly among the strings and she played a guitar solo that he had never heard before. The crowd went wild for it once she finished.

"Thank you so much!" Joelle spoke to the band before jumping down from the stage and making her way to Jack and Tyrone.

"Holy shit, that was amazing!" Jack shouted over the voice of the next person who took to the stage. They weren't nearly as good as Joelle.

The curly haired girl grinned and threw herself at her best friend, feeling his arms wrap around hers tightly.

"Joelle!" A familiar voice yelled and when the small girl peeled herself away from Jack, she saw the face of Leah.

"Leah!" The girl smiled at the familiar face which allowed Jack to be pulled away by John and Tyrone but he made sure to let his best friend know where he would be should she need him.

"I didn't realise that the guy you were talking about was Jack Grealish!" The smile that was plastered across Leah's face fell slightly at the sight of the man.

"Yeah, I took your advice and we're best friends again!" Joelle was excited, glad that she took her supervisor's advice.

"Be careful, Joelle. He's bad news. I know that he's done a lot of terrible things." Leah spoke lowly, not wanting anyone else around them to hear what she was saying.

"What are you on about? Jack's the best person I know." The small girl was utterly confused. What could Jack have done that could be so bad? The worst thing that he could do was kill a fly and even then, Joelle wasn't convinced that he had it in him.

What had Jack done that was so bad?
